23.01.2022 A very Happy Easter to everyone, as we remember what Jesus gave us this Easter - real access to God Most High through His sacrifice on the cross of Golgotha - a world changing event, and one that reverberates through the centuries and changes lives for the better, still today. Tomorrow night - Saturday night 7pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time for the uninitiated), Soul Tattoo featuring the fabulous Sabrina Alison will be doing a one hour live-streamed Facebook concert..., to be held in my driveway, with the permission of the authorities (Riverstone Police - Constable D. Geake and superiors) and in accordance with the NSW Covid 19 restrictions Gazetted on the 30th March this year. Due to me using my mobile phone for the broadcast, I will only be posting it to the Soul Tattoo and Clive Hay pages straight after the live broadcast - my phone (and my account) does not allow for cross-posting for live videos, but we will get the video up ASAP after the broadcast!! We're looking forward to it and hope you tune in...

22.01.2022 Thought it was about time I posted something on my pages. How are you all? Sadly, it seems that this year our duo Soul Tattoo won't be doing any gigs at this point in time. I do have a couple of solos coming up which I'll keep you informed about! We are talking about doing another driveway concert at this point, which I will include both my lovely singers together. Watch this space... In the meantime stay safe, stay sane and Rock On

19.01.2022 Hi All, Just an update on Clive Hay's and Soul Tattoo's status: We will be back in action from March onwards. I underwent vocal chord surgery (a polyp on my left vocal chord was removed) on the 4th of February, and am spending February in recovery and convalescence. The surgery was successful, but recovery is 4-5 weeks and has to be treated with kid gloves, of course. Our first gig is the 6th March at Club Hillsdale, followed by West Tradies on the 12th, and a solo for me a...t Penrith Gaels on the 19th. We have gigs in April and May as well, so things are looking good. Meantime, really missing being out there and can't wait to try out the new voice, but, gently, slowly and steadily, we'll be in business again soon. With thanks for your support always

18.01.2022 Hi all, With Anzac Day coming up, Soul Tattoo (this time feat. my other erstwhile, Julie O'Connor) have decided to do a short tribute show in honour of the day. Anzac day falls on this coming Saturday the 25th, so the mini-concert will be held at 6pm in order to sync up with RSL (Returned Servicemen's League) clubs short memorium that occurs at the same time everyday at RSL clubs across the country. For the information of friends and supporters in countries other than Austr...alia and New Zealand, Anzac Day is a pretty big deal here and in NZ. It is a public holiday in both countries and begins with a dawn service in memory of the fallen in wars fought mainly during the 20th Century and onwards. Be prepared for a slightly different program than the last one, with at least 50% Aussie songs...Here's hoping you'll tune in...

17.01.2022 Some of the songs from our set list for tonights concert include Smooth (Santana), To Her Door (Paul Kelly), Black Velvet (Alannah Myles) and Simply The Best (Tina Turner). Don't forget to tune in at 7pm (Sydney Australia time) for this Soul Tattoo mini-concert Live from Clive's Drive... (To be posted on this page after the concert due to crossposting issues)

13.01.2022 Hi everyone, Exciting news (well, for me anyway - and hopefully for you too!!) Due for imminent release on all your favourite music platforms, including Spotify - A new album of some of my personal favourites from my Christian works Selah, When The River Runs Dry, and the MusOz award-nominated Refugee. Some of you might remember Selah in particular, which created a buzz in Christian circles at the time, some of it a bit controversial due to the inclusion of the Reggae style...d "Serving Jesus" (included here). When I got to Australia, I recorded a new album, Refugee, which somehow (maybe via my producer David Grindley - thanks Dave) found it's way before the selection table for the MuzOz awards - an independent artists award. They decided that they liked the song "My Desire" and nominated it for the best Christian Contemporary song. (They later also nominated my album Remembering Savannah). When The River Runs Dry was my first Christian album, and contains some tracks very close to my heart, not least the title track which recounts a key moment in my spiritual journey. Take a moment to listen to the track snippets, and of course, when it's released (I'm told next week), get an online copy for your virtual Christmas stocking! With thanks and love, Clive

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, Here's a snippet of our Saturday night Anzac Day mini concert. Unfortunately I had to edit the rest of the video out as we had some serious sound issues from the end of the 4th song (Suzanne Vega's "Luka"). Hope you enjoy what we managed to salvage nonetheless:

07.01.2022 It's on! First gig for Spring - hopefully many more to come. This Saturday at West Tradies in Dharruk. Clive Hay solo 9pm - 12am. Hope ta see ya!!

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, as promised, here is a link to last night's performance. We had a lot of fun and hope you enjoy the video. Stay safe and keep rockin' https://youtu.be/X8bY0uUnglg

02.01.2022 Hi all, OK, after a few glitches, we're "A" for away with the release of "Past Glories". The pic below is from my Spotify page. The album is also available for streaming and purchase on Apple Music, YouTube Music,Sync and various other platforms. I would appeal to you to check out my Artist Fundraising Pick on Spotify in order to support local artists here in Australia (we're struggling along like everyone else at the mo). ... I would like to support any official South African Artist fundraising page on Spotify as well, so please give me your thoughts on which you think are worthy. Personally speaking, I'd like to see some kind of support for your regular pub/gig muso. After chatting to a lot of my mates in SA, I know they're still doing it tough. Don't know if there's anything like that there? Have a listen - the more streams the better... See more
