07.01.2022 Lets have some positive comments about the works going on in Waikerie. The Waikerie Riverfront is getting grass as we speak. The walking/bike path is now well under way. There is a new walking/bike track that links up to the Hart lagoon walking trail from the riverfront. Soon the shelters will be finished and toilets installed.... 06.01.2022 #BREAKING The SA Government has introduced new COVID-19 restrictions for the next six days starting at midnight tonight. South Australian Premier Steven Marsha...ll says: "As of midnight tonight we need our state to pause for six days to stop the spread and keep South Australia safe and strong." SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens says they are still working on the details but has urged all South Australians to stay at home unless you are accessing essential services. He also said masks are recommended to be worn in all areas outside the home. As of midnight these areas will shut down for a 6-day period: Schools Take away University Pub, restaurants and cafes Open inspections Outdoor sport FIFO Regional travel Aged care and disability Construction Industry Holiday homes Weddings and Funerals Premises that will remain open are: Supermarkets and petrol stations Medical and Mental health Airport Public Transport Post office Mining Child care will be open for essential workers Dr Nicola Spurrier says now is the time to be patient and be kind and help other South Australians to get through this.
