25.01.2022 For everyone attending our Campdraft this weekend, please remember: COVID-safe rules apply (social distancing, stay at home if you are unwell or at risk) RESTRICTED to 500 attendees - a register will be kept. Anyone without an armband will be asked to leave... EVERYONE must fill out the attendance register. If you DO NOT have an armband - you are not on the register and you MUST present to the secretary’s office. Thanks everyone for helping to make sure our event is a success!!!
23.01.2022 This year has been a challenging year all round. We have faced many a shake up in our industry in 2020 but this week our hearts ache for the loss of a true horseman. Never will there be another like you, Ronnie. Never will we see your cheeky grin lined up at the camp, Gold can in hand. Never again will we see that pure joy when Ronnie knew he and his horse understood each other. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ronnie, had the privilege to attend one of his clinics or... were lucky enough to share a beer and a yarn with him knew that he was a rarity. A dying breed. A phenomenon. And yet modesty immeasurable. Enjoy your golden campdraft arena in the sky, dear friend. We will all miss you dearly. May your legacy never be forgotten and may your horses go on to do the great things you knew they would. Ron Wall, a true horseman. See more

21.01.2022 2020 STOCKMAN'S CHALLENGE POSTPONED- SEPTEMBER 9 > 13 In light of current circumstances surrounding the global Covid-19 pandemic and the rapidly changing restrictions imposed on public gatherings by the State and Federal Government, the Committee of the Cloncurry Stockman’s Challenge & Campdraft have made the tough decision to postpone the 2020 event. 15.01.2022 2020 CLONCURRY STOCKMAN'S CHALLENGE CANCELLED Dear Sponsors and Competitors,... It is with great regret that we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Cloncurry Stockman's Challenge & Campdraft. This decision has not come easily, but I do believe it is the right one given the restrictions to run an event as large as ours. Covid-19 is rearing it’s ugly head again and seems to be more aggressive in the southern states. I think we have a responsibility to our community and industry to do what we can to ensure that this virus does not spread any further. As per the new rules and regulations introduced by the Australian Stockman's Challenge Association, we will hold a Derby Challenge to allow horses that missed out this year to compete next year. We look forward to running in 2021 when we can hold the Cloncurry Stockman’s Challenge with all competitors able to attend. 03.01.2022 Whilst there may not be any events happening this year we are still working away in the background making improvements. With funding from the Queensland Governments COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart program and generous support from local businesses KJW Contracting, Curry's Diesel Maintenance and Cloncurry Shire Council the Merry Muster arena surface has been upgraded!! A very big thank you to the following committee members Cheyne Williams, Joseph Robertson and Vince Wall and Byron Remfrey from the Cloncurry Merry Muster for making this happen.
