25.01.2022 Champion ewe at the New South Wales Poll Dorset Association Championships won by Closeup Poll Dorset & Suffolk Stud with Closeup 7-19. Closeup also won the Champion Mixed Pair of the show, when the champion ewe was partnered with ram Closeup 39-19.

22.01.2022 Flashback Friday on this cold and rainy afternoon to Canberra Royal Show. We have been showing there for the last 7 or 8 years and have had some great successes particularly with the Suffolks. This is our Champion and Reserve Champion Rams of 2016. The Champion being Closeup Johnny who was used as a stud sire in our breeding program for many years.

19.01.2022 Some of our members took the relaxing of lockdown restrictions from COVID-19 to have a bit of a tour around some of our NSW studs. 18.01.2022 Flashback Friday on this cold and wet afternoon to last year. We have had requests for more photos with Tom handling sheep. This is Deniliquin Show 2019 with the Champion Poll Dorset Ewe. Tom was very proud of his win with this ewe. Patrick Flanagan as requested.

17.01.2022 While in Canberra, Gordon and Charlotte had the opportunity to co-judge the junior handler competitions. One thing we love as sheep producers is encouraging the youth within the sheep industry. It was great to see so many passionate young kids at the show and to be able to pass on our knowledge to them and encourage their continuous participation within the sheep industry.

The South West Region of the APDA has Youth Days which used to be annual but are now biannual. Unfortunately, this years cant run but here are some group photos of the first couple of years plus the Wagga Regions Youth Day. Tag yourself if you are in one.

13.01.2022 Flashback Friday to just a few years ago. 2018 was a successful year with our Poll Dorset Ewes. Taking out Reserve Champion Ewe at Canberra Royal and the Bendigo Sheep Show and winning the Shorn Ewe class at Cowra NSW Dorset Championships.

12.01.2022 Flashback Friday 2003 Australian Sheep and Wool Show Lambs by Graythorn Friar Tuck we purchased from Ian and Helen Gray. The ram in second went on to be a stud sire Closeup Chester in our stud and the ewe Closeup Georgia was a lovely productive ewe. This is the first year we received ribbons at Bendigo.

09.01.2022 Friday flashback. This one came up in memories of 5 years ago today. The quietest Suffolk ram we’ve ever bred and he went on to breed some fantastic progeny. Johnny boy.

07.01.2022 Flashback Friday is a cute one this week. Finley show would normally be coming up in the next week so I thought I would post this one of Tom handing out prizes there in a very gentlemanly manner. I think Patrick Flanagan may have been the judge that year. This is back in 2003.

07.01.2022 Flashback Friday - In 2010 we bought some ewes and a ram from the Brofort Stud for Charlotte as a present. The stud was registered in 2011. At the newly run Elite Suffolk Show and Sale of 2013 it was a very proud achievement to win Champion Suffolk Ewe.
