25.01.2022 COVID19 Notice Massage appointments are available again as of Monday 18.May 2020 at a reduced capacity. Please note that the situation is fluid which means this can change at short notice if clusters appear in the Blue Mountain or neighbouring regions. Extra hygine measures and infection prevention protocols are in place. ... It is important to understand that the risk of infection is still a possibility in a massage setting during the current COVID19 environment due to the fact that a person can be asymptomatic for several days while capable of transmitting the virus, despite the extra measures taken. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask. Warm regards, Gerhard

22.01.2022 Helpful information

22.01.2022 Stress, grief, anxiety, depression, hormone imbalance, loneliness or isolation can all cause muscle dysfunction. These can manifest in muscle trigger points (knots) pain, sleep deprivation, skin disorders, low energy, high or low blood pressure and general malaise. Massage, in its various applications, can safely and effectively improve these issues with almost immediate effects. ... I have myself, and can suggest, a regular monthly maintenance massage. Just you and all those little cells that make your body, in healing mode Bliss is the word that comes to my mind G

22.01.2022 Dear Massage Clients, For the past few weeks, I have been following the updates from the Department of Health website and the World Health recommendations regularly. I was advised yesterday by my Massage Association to shut down all client contact immediately. ... Safety is my number one concern for all of my clients, some of whom are at-risk populations. I feel a strong sense of social responsibility to help in any way to slow the spread of the virus and to protect the at-risk populations in our community. Since my profession involves being in close proximity and sharing the air for an extended time in a small room, a virus like this can be spread very quickly despite the best infection control and hygiene precautions. Due to the nature of COVID19, people could be asymptomatic for at least several days but still be contagious. Some people have contracted the virus and had virtually no symptoms at all. The Australian Government has now mandated social distancing measures to try to control the spread of COVID19. Pre-emptive social distancing and good hygiene are the two most powerful tools we have to manage the rate of virus transmission and slow down the enormous load on our medical facilities all at once. With that in mind, I am taking this situation seriously and have decided to take action now to temporarily suspend my practice to slow the curve of COVID19 spread and lessen the sudden overload on our medical facilities locally. Cloud 3 Massage will be closed for all treatments until further notice. I do not make this decision lightly as this practice is my primary source of income. At this stage, I don’t know how long this suspension will be in effect but I will keep you informed once my massage clinic will re-open. The Association of Massage Therapist will guide me as to when it is ok to resume my practice. I would prefer to be over cautious and err on the side of safety, rather than potentially regret not taking actions sooner. Thank you for your support and understanding. Kind regards, Gerhard

21.01.2022 Dear clients Please stay well hydrated before coming in for your massage. I can get more remedial work done if your (muscle & nerve) tissues have enough water to function properly. G

21.01.2022 Massage and the flu or cold Despite what some people believe, massage does not help you shake off a cold or flu infection. Only rest, self care, hygiene, some natural remedies or medicine can support your body during the fight by your immune system to get back on top of those bugs. ... Having said this, during recovery stage (when you are not infectious to other people anymore) and your health starts improving, a client-focused massage can certainly help soothe your aches and pains from lying around and make you feel more human again Massage can also help in supporting your immune system before an infection takes place. The responsible thing to do, if you feel a cold or flu coming on, is to postpone your massage treatment. That way you also limit spreading the Thank you G
