25.01.2022 We absolutely love when our services cost our clients nothing. Nada. Zero. That may sound odd given we are a business, in business to make money- but allow me t...o explain- if your customer has agreed, in writing, to cover your costs in having to pursue them, then our services shouldn’t ever cost you a cent. They will be liable. We recovered $8100 for a dance school last week from a debtor who had signed such a document. We were sent the debt to collect, we collected it, we invoiced our client, they paid us and raised an invoice to the debtor for the very same amount. Debtor paid it today. Client is happy- they’re $8100 richer. We’re happy- we are $1458 richer. Debtor- yeah, not so much. They’re refusal to pay the debt long before it came to us just cost them nearly one thousand, five hundred dollars. Guys, I cannot stress how vital it is to get something signed BEFORE you start work. A clause on an invoice isn’t enough. You telling them you will be adding debt collection fees isn’t enough. They physically must have signed something. If they have, and you incur a charge- they will be the ones of of pocket- not you. For anyone who would like such a document, it’s in the full version of our app otherwise just say the word and it will be posted for you here. Cheers 3:44pm update- WOW! Ok, so heaps of you want to try and protect your business- this warms the cockles of our collective hearts! Here is the form folks, hope it helps.

14.01.2022 To all the women who are slightly envious of my seemingly endless amount of energy: here's what my support looks team like... I have my girls in full-time day...care My husbands supports me practically full-time in our business I have a project manager I have an assistant An accountant A bookkeeper A financial Coach A Business Coach A Lawyer A Cleaning Lady (10+ hours a week) Helpful family living close by A community that supports us Oh, I also don't do my own FB ads and don't design my own pages or website. I don't iron I don't fold & put away laundry I don't cook meals I don't clean Between 9-4 I don't take care of kids I don't schedule posts I don't touch the systems in my business I don't onboard clients (this list is pretty much endless). Did I mention I don't have my driver's licence. So, yes... I don't even drive. Ever. What I do do? Love my kids before and after they come home from daycare Be an awesome wife to my husband Do deeply transformational work with my clients Create methods/frameworks/blueprints (IP) Show up and tell the truth Rest a lot (I'm pregnant) Create amazing content Nourish connections with potential clients Do incredible sales calls Create multiple 6-figure launches Read about one romantic novel a day (it's summertime!) And now I'm going to end my day early and take a bath with essential oils... while I read my novel. P.S. Fuck this idea of "superwoman" Being able to do everything. On your own. It's a lie. And the sooner you drop it, the quicker you get wealthy. Signed, The girl who made $250,000 (USD) in the first trimester of her pregnancy, and obviously didn't pull that shit off on her own

13.01.2022 While you’re on JobKeeper, the usual obligation to do your job applies. So unless you’re stood down, on leave or you’re authorised to be absent, you should go t...o work for your ordinary work hours (or the reduced hours your employer has directed you to go to work under a JobKeeper direction). If you're on JobKeeper and can't go to work because you're sick, you still need to take any accrued sick leave you have. You also still need to notify your employer and provide evidence if asked. You can find more info here: https://coronavirus.fairwork.gov.au//leave-the-jobkeeper-s

12.01.2022 At Xero Roadshow in Brisbane last week Trent Innes (MD Xero Aust) gave a brilliant talk about his glass balls! (How’s that for a click bait headline!) To clarify, why Trent was discussing his balls, here is what he meant. When you’re juggling many balls in life; work, family, health, relationships, social life, etc. it helps to imagine that some of the balls you’re juggling are glass and others are rubber. If you drop a glass ball, it will most likely shatter irreparably, a r...ubber ball will bounce back (eventually). Decide what your glass balls are and look after them!! This is the kind of influence and example we need from the top down; the message that IT IS OKAY to look after what you care about the most! Thank you Trent!

06.01.2022 When you finally empty all of the receipts from your wallet

03.01.2022 Last week at Xero Roadshow in Brisbane Trent Innes (MD Xero Aust) gave a brilliant talk, amongst many great topics were his glass balls. (How’s that for a click bait headline) Let me clarify why Trent was discussing his balls in such a forum. When you’re juggling many balls in life, family, work, health, relationships, friendships etc. think of some of your balls as made of glass and others made of rubber. If you drop the glass balls they’re likely to shatter irreparably, whe...reas the rubber balls will eventually bounce back. Decide which are your glass balls and make sure they’re not the ones you drop. This is the influence and example we need from the top down; that IT IS OKAY to take care of what matters most to you. Thanks Trent and the Xero team for changing the landscape.
