25.01.2022 I loved creating this cake, cookies & macarons for James' 19th birthday :) A cherry ripe mud cake covered in white and decorated with blue, black, copper & silver painted brush strokes. I made the cookies & macarons to match the cake and love the vibrant blue colour of them.

24.01.2022 Iron Man was the request for Blake's 6th birthday cake. Had fun creating the mask & hand from fondant and then painting on the cracked effect behind the hand.

23.01.2022 Up next was another of the super cute koala themed cakes. The birthday girl requested to have some rainbow colours incorporated so I added a cute fondant party hat, and some sugar flowers in bright colours :)

22.01.2022 For Belle's 3rd birthday she wanted a Frozen/Elsa themed cake, even though she has never seen the movie herself (everyone knows Elsa!! haha) This was the design I did for her, incorporating a character edible image, fondant snowflakes & ruffles and some sprinkles.

20.01.2022 One of last week's orders was this retro 70's style cake for Lois' birthday. She loves old school style things so the request was to go back in time a bit with the look of the cake, cherries and all :)

19.01.2022 It was a busy week in the Cloud 9 kitchen and I'll be sharing some pics of the finished creations over the next couple of days. First up was this Welsh rugby jersey themed cake for Craig's 50th birthday. Inside were layers of white mud cake filled with white chocolate ganache.

15.01.2022 Happy New Year Everyone!! I've been a bit MIA on here as the end of the year over Christmas & New Year was so busy, I hardly had time to think haha! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to each and every one who has liked, commented & supported me throughout 2020 - especially those of you who continued to place orders and kept my little business afloat! I am eternally grateful for your continued support! I look forward to creating lots of yummy cakes & treats for you all again this... year :) I have a few images left to share from goodies that went out at the end of the year, and I'll kick that off with these 65 individual sweet boxes that went out to staff at an aged care facility as a big thank you for all their hard work and effort in 2020 :) **Just a note that I am currently on leave until the end of Jan and taking orders for the weekend of 30th Jan onwards. Spots do fill up very quickly, so please get in touch if you would like to get a cake, cupcakes or cookies for any special occasion!

09.01.2022 Cupcakes with edible image toppers of Douglas' favourite things - St Kilda football club, the Aussie cricket baggy green and of course his dog Bonnie.

08.01.2022 It was so nice to do a rainbow theme again, but not in the traditional bright rainbow colours. It was earthy/blush shades for Lara's cake, and it was accompanied by some matching cupcakes :)

07.01.2022 Cute little mini cake with sprinkles and pink & aqua macarons for Lily's 13th birthday :)

04.01.2022 Sarah has been swimming a few kms in the bay every day, so for her birthday her husband organised an ocean/under the water themed cake for her as a surprise :) He requested that I incorporate her swimming, as well as a dolphin (as she had seen one when out in the bay). This was the end result and I'm sure hubby scored many brownie points for surprising Sarah with this! :)

04.01.2022 Evie had a Bluey themed birthday cake last year, and when this birthday came around her mum said that she still loves Bluey just as much, so another Bluey cake it was!

03.01.2022 If you grew up in the 80's, Mario Bros (called Super Mario these days) would no doubt be part of your childhood memories. Good to see that it is still as popular as ever with today's kids :) I made this cake for Max's 6th birthday with both the characters, as well as all the other elements, hand crafted from fondant. Very happy with the end result, it was hard to say goodbye to this one haha!
