Cloudtronics has recently added a new DWDM wavelength tuning feature to its series of remote transceiver support devices. This feature enables 'on the fly' tuning of DWDM wavelengths with true cloud support for a number of applications where the host switch does not provide this functionality. ... This will be an entry level device to that builds on the success of our unique Cloudtronics technology. 04.01.2022 Cloudtronics has a been engaged by a Cloud Services Provider on a SFP rectification project to refurbish old transceivers that had been taken out of service an thought to be and stored (hidden) away in boxes. As a part of the comprehensive Cloudtronics refurbishment program, each device will be tested to the original manufacturers specifications, cleaned, inspected and dust caps replaced, to ensure these modules are fit for service. Any transceivers that fail Cloudtronics Q...A program will be replaced with Cloudtron Transceivers. A majority of the modules will then be reprogrammed to suit new host devices, as a part of the provider’s faster and leaner programs. 02.01.2022 Beware of Cisco Knock off SFPs, recently Cloudtronics has conducted an investigation based on a client’s request to test a Cisco SFP that didn’t work in a Cisco Switch. Under further investigation it was determined that many of the elements on that were printed on the labels of the SFP didn’t match the SFP code that was located within the SFP hence the conclusion this was not an original SFP. Our client thought they were purchasing a original Cisco SFP however it was not, sad...ly many people who have thought they have purchased original transceivers however they are cheap knock offs all be it very good looking knock offs.
