24.01.2022 Sometimes the nicest things happen for the nicest guinea pigs This is the lovely natured boar SILVER KHAN going off to be a boy's own special pet...Silver Khan was the one featured being trained to jump the loo rolls (), when my granddaughter was bored during Covid isolation....there's great photos back in March.

22.01.2022 A lovely "home visit" from good Perth, cavy family, friends...so very nice to show off my stud when I live 400km or more away from other Cavwest Club Members. We had a chinwag, a cuppa, a walk to see the lambs - very nice to have visitors

22.01.2022 The Covid-19 isolation is getting to us. We saw a clip of cats showjumping loo rolls, so my offsider decides the GPs need training to jump loo rolls too....and then to experience a Duplo Theme Park.... FUN!!

22.01.2022 Few recent photos ... good babies from the TSW. And the black dutch is 3 month old boar Clover-Leaf Summer King. He recently gave me my biggest win ever in 46 years of breeding and showing! Best Baby in Show, Best Marked and then on to dizzy heights of Reserve in Show!! Whoo hoo! And some new Tricolour project babies to play with - Golden agouti/red/white, which I did dabble with once before.

22.01.2022 Easter was made more fun by sharing a first time experience across Australia with cavy friends (we're all missing our Showing due to Covid-19 cancellations) - the first OnLine Cavy Show!! Experienced organizers set it up to have standardized photo entries judged by all the eminent Judges across Australia and England. The classes and groups of photo entries appeared on the Australian National Cavy Council members site all day, with judging and results appearing as they came in, building up the suspense, and later the cameraderie of comments and thanks. These were Clover-Leaf Stud placings

20.01.2022 Just a bit of PR for a Dutch that I'm proud of....Clover-Leaf Summer Sheikh. Noticed his very balanced markings and quality as a baby, and as he was from the strongest family producing show markings here, found him a breeding home with Katrina Cianciosi of Cavalon Stud in WA. Cavalon was founded on Champion Clover-Leaf Royal Acclaim, a black dutch boar. Sheikh has found a line-breeding niche there, a useful piece of the jigsaw, and is siring show winning dutch in WA. A handsome animal indeed. Thanks to Katrina for the photos

15.01.2022 Occasionally, babies with showable markings are produced - the true aim of the game! I've had two lately. CLOVER-LEAF SUMMER KING is a black dutch boar (by Silver Lining from Sun Rays). CLOVER-LEAF REY is a tortoise & white sow (Star Wars x Daisychain Mardi). Shall look forward to showing them. The joy of marked breeds means their potential can be seen and photographed at birth

13.01.2022 Here's a tribute to a special torty & white boar HI-POINT HOT ROCK, bred by Sharon Deas and owned by Clover-Leaf Stud for nearly 3 years. He has recently died aged 5.5 years. His best show wins were at the WA State Open Show, where he was Reserve of Breed 2015 & Best of Breed 2016. He was a great sire of show marked animals with daughters C-L River Spirit and C-L Hot Fire being awarded National Show Reserve of Breed. I kept and named 16 of his progeny and they are spread to studs in most Australian States. Son C-L River Trader was influential for Lisa Langridge's Prismatic Stud, Sydney; and C-L Hot Tune was a great producer for Ken Peddersen's Eramosa Stud, Victoria. Vale - Hot Rock!

03.01.2022 Yay! First litters just started arriving for 2020. (I will be breeding less than usual because of the regional travel restrictions stopping me selling to Perth area pet shops - so mine are only available in the Midwest, atm) A 'Keeper' in the second litter - this is CLOVER-LEAF MAKIN' PATCHES - a boar sired by Aleuka Makin' Magic, from the sow Wildthings Rockin' the Missy. Look at this belly marking!

01.01.2022 Best wishes to Kealy Melavirta of Bunghee Cavy Stud, NSW, on recent purchase of two Dutch breeding stock. They were brother and sister Clover-Leaf Summer Love & Clover-Leaf Storyteller. Their showable brother C-L Summer King is retained here for me. They join her other dutch stock based on the boar C-L Nightlight. I hope they breed you great marked cavies, Kealy!
