23.01.2022 Well, what an amazing weekend it was. Clover Hill Chinchilla on the coast,! We smoked over 110kg of our Wagyu at Whisky Boy from 11pm Friday night to 830pm Saturday night. And we loved every minute of it. To all the Noosa locals - thankyou for your hospitality, providing coffee, having a laugh and keeping us on our toes. To the team at Whisky Boy, Noosaville, you are a fantastic bunch and we thankyou for your support. It is an absolute credit to you for giving an unknown cou...ntry business a go. Also thanks to Craig Leschke for being with us for the long haul. Big job Finally thankyou to Ursula and others for giving up your weekend to achieve our goal.

16.01.2022 Exciting news!! The Farm Shop has now teamed up with Clover Hill Meats. Meet Steve and Ursula Keating and their four children Johnno 17, Faith 13, William 10 a...nd Andrew 2, Graziers from Chinchilla (approximately 2 hours west of Toowoomba). Steve and Ursula run a full blood Wagyu herd as well as Black Angus. It has been an evolving story for them over the last 24 months. After many years striving for the very best genetics they finally hit the China export market. This was short lived and ceased as a result of Australia/ China political issues. At the same time the drought was biting hard buying in road trains of hay from Victoria and Far North Queensland. This drought is continuing with failed winter crops and very little rainfall recorded since March. Resilience and innovation is what has pulled them through these uncertain climatic and political conditions. Recently the family owned and operated graziers released their own Wagyu brand, Clover Hill Meats. Appropriately named after one of their properties, Clover Hill. The thing that sets this brand apart is the full paddock to plate knowledge of all the cattle produced. The family breed the cattle, feed them on pasture, and at the weight of 300kg they are sent to a local feedlot where they are fed special diets for 350+ days. But that's not all. Once the cattle are finished on feed (hormone free) they are then collected by Steve and delivered to the local Chinchilla Abattoir where they are processed. Then they are sent to the local butcher for break down and vacuum packaging. In terms of 'the food mile' you cant get much more local or fresh than this. You will now be able to buy two different packs from Clover Hill Meats through The Farm Shop website. Just in time for Christmas!!! See more
