11.01.2022 Last week Gladstone Spring Triples were held by the Ladies at the Gladstone Bowls Club. The weather was perfect as 22 teams from as far away as Taroom, Bargara and Yepoon competed in the very popular event. There was even a couple from Melbourne who were stranded here by Covid and were able to compete. Congratulations to the winners, well known local players Sam Lunck, Cameron McCrohon and Carolyn Meade. 2nd place went to a Gladstone team, Carole and Alex Allan and Jenny Hatherell. 3rd place getters were Janet Hogan, Make Blake and Ali Goninam from Biloela and in 4th place went to Judy Nowell, Jenny and Teri from Bargara. It was a great two day carnival with lots of interest shown. It will be back bigger and better in 2021!

01.01.2022 Stanley Colman WW2 Veteran was honoured by Gladstone RSL Sub branch and Gladstone Bowls Club last night to commemorate 75 years since Japan surrendered in the pacific. Mr Colman is one of a handful of remaining WW2 Diggers.
