15.01.2022 Youll hear us talk about about symptom monitoring during and after the exercises we give you for your rehabilitation. This is a nice visual guideline of the parameters we prescribe. Exercising is very important for your recovery, sometimes there will have to be a little ache to achieve the end goal. This is why guidance from a physiotherapist is important, and if you have questions please ask.

11.01.2022 This infograph has a good point to keep in consideration now that restrictions are stating to be reduced. Whether you have stayed completely away from activity, or done an alternative during isolation, it is important to not just jump back to your previous program load. Instead you should start a little less then what you were doing and then progress back towards it. Of course everyone is different, so how one person does it is not the same as the other.

10.01.2022 This infographic is comparing back in 2011 when the American footballers were locked out of their regular training schedules for weeks, and then the results when returning back to competition with injuries. The point being made here is... make sure you take the time to prepare yourself physically before going back to previous loads.

09.01.2022 Thanks to the sacrifices made by the few, the many of us can enjoy this beautiful country. Lest we forget. Please remember as a gesture of respect for the day we will not be open. We will resume on Tuesday. Contact us via email if you have any queries. [email protected]

08.01.2022 They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and this study showed it was important to have a good breakfast in the morning with protein to help with muscle development. Even if you are not a bodybuilder, it can be important to stimulate muscles development for injury prevention or rehabilitation.

07.01.2022 KEEPING IT CLEAN Just a short video to talk you through the extra measure we are doing the keep the risk down for our patients. Dont be scared to come in, as long as you also follow hygiene protocols.

05.01.2022 At current we are still considered an essential service and have the approval from the health minister to still remain open to treat patients. Remember we have implemented more frequent cleaning over our surfaces to ensure maximal hygiene at all times for you to come into clinic.

04.01.2022 There isnt just one energy system in our body that helps us during activity. This infographic will give a basic guide to the different training methods you can use to improve each, but it is only a basic guide and obviously there can be a lot more complicated methods.

04.01.2022 FRESH CARPETS..... new carpets are in and it brings a bit of life to the gym again

01.01.2022 WORKING HARD TO STAY CLEAN, ITS BUSINESS AS USUAL. At Club Physiotherapy we take the health and wellbeing of our clients and staff very seriously. With this in... mind we are updating everyone on our current infectious disease policy, and want to give you as much information as possible about what we are doing to keep you safe. To maintain the health of both staff and patients, at this time we are kindly asking the following: Anyone who has recently travelled overseas (regardless of country/ies visited) who have developed flu like and / or respiratory symptoms since returning are asked to reschedule their physiotherapy appointment and instead seek medical review via their GP clinic. It is suggested that you phone ahead to your GP clinic as it may be possible for testing to be arranged without you visiting the surgery. If you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or someone who is at high risk of a positive test, then we ask that you do not attend for a physiotherapy appointment or exercise session until you are cleared by a medical agency to do so. If you are feeling unwell, or have and cold or flu symptoms, then we ask that you proactively reschedule your appointment to when you are feeling better. As a health clinic, we have always practiced high standards of hygiene. This includes strict hand hygiene practices, wiping down surfaces between clients, use of disposable face and bed covers. We will obviously continue to do this, but have increased our hygiene measures: We are increasing the cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces that may be touched by staff and clients, with cleaning agents the Department of Health recommends are effective for COVID-19 (and other diseases) We have removed items that arent cleaned such as magazines from our waiting areas. We ask that all clients wash their hands with alcohol gel provided as soon as they enter the clinic. We are increasing our cleaning and disinfecting of exercise equipment, As mentioned, we are not accepting anyone who is symptomatic or at risk of infection at this stage. Please do your best to care for others, by practicing excellent hand washing and hygiene, and above all staying away if you are unwell. If you attend with cold and flu symptoms, you may be politely asked to reschedule your session. Thank you for your cooperation with the above. Above all it is business as usual as we are still working to proactively look after our clients pain and injuries. We are lucky that we dont treat people who are SICK, only people in pain, so as long as we follow the above guidelines we believe we are doing the best we can to protect everyone. Given our hygiene standards we also believe that our clinic is much lower risk than the general community for infection. We will continue to be here to care for you like we always are. If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours in Health Mark Young and the Club Physiotherapy team. See more
