25.01.2022 Water lilies. We are often asked to explain why our dahlias are called waterlilies. It’s an easy answer, because the blooms do look like a water lily. These are amongst our blooms at Abbotsford Farmers Market tomorrow morning.

25.01.2022 It’s been too warm the last few days and the daffodils have responded by blooming en masse. Today is cooler after some rain, and the daffodils look refreshed.

23.01.2022 First day of spring, and celebrating are the tête-à-tête daffodils in full glory.

23.01.2022 Flatlay dahlia and lilium petal flower doodle, to bring some needed cheer.

23.01.2022 Our dahlias are still growing strongly in spite of the Coronavirus. Tomorrow we will be at Alphington Farmers Market with flowers (no flour, or toilet paper either, sorry) so come and get a bunch of autumn cheer. There is hope for the future, and so we will have daffodil bulbs and other spring flowering bulbs for planting, as well.

23.01.2022 Lovely lilium Dalian growing in a shady spot.

20.01.2022 Some daffodil spam. ‘Precocious’ The warm weather is really pushing the bulbs to bloom.

20.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day.

20.01.2022 Lily season is nearing the end...

19.01.2022 Rain returns today, with a good amount forecast. Luckily daffodils love rain when they are growing.

19.01.2022 Dahlia Formby Cardinal, a lovely colour. The autumn weather is bringing dew each morning before a beautiful day.

19.01.2022 In amongst the chaos you can select a relaxing bunch of fresh liliums or dahlias at the Alphington Farmers Market on Sunday. Keep Safe.

14.01.2022 Lovely start to autumn with mild weather. The bees are loving dark foliage dahlia Ellen Huston (and all the other dahlias too).

13.01.2022 Dahlia Anne’s Delight. Since the rains started in mid January the dahlias have grown tremendously. It’s about 1.7metres high now. The field has no supports installed, and I’m wondering if I should be worried.

12.01.2022 Le Batts Prime, a mauve over white decorative dahlia. It’s been a reliable performer here for the last couple of years, and doing well, enjoying the rain today.

10.01.2022 Hi dahlia lovers, here is Holland Festival to cheer us up during the current events.

10.01.2022 The dahlias have enjoyed another day of rain, 43 mm in the gauge. The cloudy weather has helped too, not many sun bleached petals. Here is pompon dahlia ‘Woden Surprise’.

07.01.2022 Flat lay of this season’s dahlia seedlings selected for further evaluation. Which is your favourite?

06.01.2022 Still enjoying lilium flowers, this is Conca d’Or.

06.01.2022 Apparently 78 percent of people do not participate in Valentine’s Day, so especially for you we have an ample supply of gorgeous dahlias to indulge, including Cafe au Lait. Today at Boroondara Farmers Market, Hawthorn, see you at 8am. #dahlia #dahlias #flowers #farmersmarket #farmerflorist #vfmaaccredited #gardeningaustraliamag

05.01.2022 Happy Daffodil Day. Back from an IG holiday, a lovely sunny day after a violent storm last night, a reminder that spring is on its way. No power, cirfew at 8pm, so an early night.

05.01.2022 A little flower fun to cheer up Sunday.

04.01.2022 Happy Easter. Some more dahlias today, the field is definitely slowing and the rain is taking blooms, however there is still colour.

04.01.2022 Some more pompon dahlia spam, rainbow style.

03.01.2022 Lovely day for a bit of dahlia flower doodling.

01.01.2022 The weather is warm, found this Blue Tongue out today, the earliest I can remember.
