(RMCMC) is a not-for-profit organisation fostering the performance, promotion and enjoyment of country music in the local Redlands Community. Our Members include people of all ages, and from all walks of life. Our Members regularly donate their time and musical talents in support of worthy organisations and causes throughout the Redlands. Additionally, the Club has a history of making financial donations to charities and worthy causes, not only in the Redlands, but also more widely throughout Queensland. In the Clubs last financial year (1 June 2019 to 31 May 2020), a total amount of $6,270 was donated by the RMCMC to the following organizations: St Vincent de Paul Qld. Bush Fire Appeal $2,500 Western Qld. Drought Relief Appeal $2,500 Wheels on Meals Victoria Point Branch (Catering Supplies) $470 Agape Outreach Queensland $250 Guanaba Country Music Clubs Annual Charity Day $250 Broxburn Country Music Club Festival $100 Redcliffe Country Music Club Festival $100 Homestead Country Music Club Festival $100 With the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, our Club has seen its income completely disappear. We would use this donation to help us get back up and running in compliance with the requirements of Queensland Government and Health Authorities and thereby resume our contribution to Community.

22.01.2022 Hello to all our country music friends and followers: yet another month has gone by without any country music . Our next concert which was to be held August 9th... once again has been cancelled due to the Pandemic. We had hoped to be back by August but unfortunately this was just an 'impossible dream' and presently we still have no idea when Country Links will be able to return. At this stage we don't see us returning this side of Christmas but keep an eye on our posts as we will keep you informed of any changes to the Government Covid-19 plans for returning. In the mean time please stay safe & stay well, and we look forward to seeing you all back at Country Links in the future when all this craziness is over. See more

20.01.2022 Hi, hope you are all well and staying safe? COVID 19 has certainly changed the way we do things, and we have come to the decision to cancel our festival for 2020. The safety and well-being of our workers, contestants and patrons are paramount to us and we feel it would not be fair to hold our festival when social distancing and safety is still such a concern. 16.01.2022 It is with regret that I give this update concerning the continued closure of Cool Country Social Music Club because of the covid 19 activity down south. Restr...ictions are continuing with the Senior Citizens hall, making it hard for us to comply with all the health regulations. It is not financially viable to restart with a small group for practice night only. The committee has decided to delay starting club activities until further notice in the interest of the safety for our members and friends in the community. We would like to thank everyone who went along to our shows for their support and friendship over the last 35 years. 12.01.2022 CLUB NEWS! Hello everyone-I hope all are staying safe and well as this crazy year goes on with no end to the restrictions looking likely in the near future, Due... to this, your Management Committee met for a meeting yesterday-Wed 12 August, to discuss issues pertaining to our club and the situation that exists. The following decisions were made, so you can all know what is happening until February next year( unless the Covid situation changes). !. CLUB SOCIALS Due to the virus restrictions- ie Social Distancing, etc-preventing the viability of running our club SOCIALS, there will not be any of these until at least February next year. By making this decision, it allows everyone to make their own plans, knowing they won't be missing out on our Socials. 2.MEMBERSHIP Subscriptions. President Noreen has spoken to Fair Trading re this, and acting on the advice given, moved a motion, that all current memberships will be extended until Feb. 1st, 2021-this allows financial members to nominate Committee positions and Vote at the AGM . Renewed subs from Feb 1st, will last until the usual time of Sept/Oct. next year.This motion was passed.. 3.AGM This will be held on Tuesday, Nov 10th. The plan is to have it at the start of a Park Picnic Accoustic Jam Session day to be held possibly at Brennan Park on Bribie Island ( and hope the weather plays fair!) More details re this and how the nominations will be done, will be given closer to the time as we work them out. Now- for once we want the "Bush Telegraph", and "Grapevine" to swing into action, and please let everyone you know about this announcement, as we want as many of our members and supporters to know what's happening. We know some don't use Facebook,have the Internet, or Messenger so if you can spread the word we would appreciate it hugely, as postal contact would be very costly, and phoning everyone would be very time consuming. 12.01.2022 Well all you wonderful Country Music fans out there will be disappointed to hear that due to the recent outbreaks of Covid 19 in local areas. The West Moreton a...rea is under tighter restrictions with groups reduced to ten people. I have been informed that due to most of our patrons being in the group of people most threatened by this virus our country music is cancelled until further notice.I am very disappointed myself by this decision but we must exercise caution and stick to the rules for our utmost safety. Unlike some members of the community who don't care about anyone else but themselves.. I will keep you posted of any changes but I know some of you have already told me you were concerned about your health risks and wouldn't be attending in September anyway. So I hope you all keep safe and happy and hopefully this awful thing will be over soon..Cheers for now. Love to you all and keep that Country Music playing.. Due to restrictions we can only have 43 people in the Chapel and anyone else is welcome to stand outside. A small wake service will be held at Brigalow CMC after the service. (Maximum of 40 people at a time)

10.01.2022 I have just had a long conversation with the president of the club. We agreed to hold off on resuming the practice nights until at least the end of July. As we ...would hate to feel responsible if anyone of our members became ill from covid 19. I for one know that that would kill me. As we value all our members young, in betweens and older members we feel this is the best thing to do. We will certainly let you know if anything changes. I know that I am missing the interaction with you all. Please stay healthy and show kindness to others. We will get through this, and we will move onwards and upwards. Cheers to you all in music.
