24.01.2022 Though this has come to our attention very late, there are a few days remaining to provide feedback on the Fishermans Bend precinct development project, where Westgate Park is situated. Until July 1, submissions can be made public and voted on/supported by other members of the community, so if having mountain biking remain available and having the trails at Westgate Park re-developed is in line with what you'd like to see available in the area, we'd encourage you to make a submission. http://haveyoursay.delwp.vic.gov.au/fishermans-bend/

08.01.2022 Anyone who is a regular at Westgate Park will no doubt be familiar with similar hoop-snake incidents we've had there over the years. Today, however, it's ostriches.

03.01.2022 Parks Victoria today released their draft concept plan for the future of Westgate Park for the next 20-30 years. Those of you who look over this will quickly realise that it makes no allowances for mountain biking whatsoever - despite it being specified as a key criteria during the workshops for developing the master plan. We would encourage anyone with an interest in mountain biking to give as much feedback as they deem appropriate on the lack of inclusion of the land continuing to be available as a mountain bike destination within inner Melbourne. http://parkweb.vic.gov.au//plans/westgate-park-master-plan
