25.01.2022 The Pavilion New to the Club Malua precinct this purpose-built facility has been designed with our bowling members in mind. The Pavilion will cater for high-performance bowlers as well as the growing social bowls scene. It features a bar, servery, bathrooms, the bowls office, and a spacious indoor air-conditioned seating area. Glazed windows and bi-fold doors ensure an uninterrupted view out to the greens. 24.01.2022 Club Malua has been advised at 12:30pm today by NSW Health that a single person has tested positive to Covid19 visited Club Malua on Tuesday 07/07/2020, Wednesday 08/07/2020 and Sunday 12/07/2020. This being the case, Cabra Bowls Group have made the decision to close the club and the bowling greens effective immediately. A Deep Clean of the premises will be outsourced to a certified cleaning company at the very earliest availability. The club will remain closed for a period ...of 14 days per the recommended guidelines. All staff and patrons who have visited the club on these days have had their contact details provided to NSW Health. We are very committed to the safety of our staff, customers, and wider community and will continue to operate under the advice which NSW Health has provided to us. NSW Health has advised those with symptoms to get tested and stay home. Please stay COVID safe and remember to keep physical distance and sanitise thoroughly and lets work together with NSW Health to stop the spread in our community. Malua Bay has shown in the past that in times of adversity we band together, stay safe and look out for each other. We aim to have our club open again on the 6th August.

21.01.2022 VALE Dianne Mooy (Di Mooy) Our much loved friend Di lost her ongoing health battle this morning at 7am, 27 December 2020.... Di has had a long time association with Club Malua, a place she greatly loved. She was a member of the Ladies Bowling Club, Secretary for many years, Match Committee and a former member of the Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee. Di was someone we all loved working with and being with. We are going to to miss her very much. We will always remember and be forever thankful for her commitment and love for her bowling club, her fellow members both ladies and men, and her ongoing commitment to Club Malua. RIP Di

On schedule Club Maluas Development Application was submitted to Eurobodalla Shire Council at the end of July. If approval is granted quickly, construction could begin by the end of this calendar year.... The next step is the approval of the Construction Certificate with the build likely to begin in February 2021.... 04.01.2022 UPDATE FROM NSW HEALTH We have been advised that Club Malua has a single positive case who attended the site on the 7th, 8th and 12th July. At this stage NSW Health are classing people who attended the venue on the above date as casual contacts. This means they do not have to self-isolate but should watch for symptoms. ... There is no ongoing risk to the club, however please ensure your staff remain vigilant and watch for any symptoms. Anyone who develops symptoms should be tested and remain at home until results are back. To organise testing at your local clinic, please call 1800 999 880. Club Malua will engage certified COVID-19 Cleaning and once the venue is classified as safe, we will be able to re-open the doors. Please share this post and look out for updates.

01.01.2022 BETTER NEWS FOR CLUB MALUA As many distractions as there has been recently, focus has remained on ensuring the early stages of this project sets up the delivery of a first-class venue for the local Community. The venue will be better protected from natural disasters. Bush Fire Protection standards will be implemented. These take into account both the building and the environment and include strategies such as the elimination of any combustible mulch in gardens, the impla...ntation of low risk vegetation and the use of fire-retardant building materials. There will be a greater focus on energy and water. A generator will be commissioned to ensure energy continuity in the event of a power outage. Various green energy options are also being considered, as well as a new and improved irrigation system.
