17.01.2022 Would your 4 year old know how to call an ambulance? We hear extraordinary stories in the media from time to time of hero children saving their parents or siblings life by calling emergency services. When you think about it, how often is it just you at home with the kids? Pretty often, hey?... Teaching your brave little ones how to call an ambulance could save your life, or the life of a family member. Have a chat with your kids, you could be forever grateful that you did!

08.01.2022 * Important update in light of ongoing developments around COVID-19 * Long post ahead, but please continue to read as the following contains important information. We would like you all to take comfort in knowing that we are and will continue to do whatever is required to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff and their families as best we can. As always, you are our top priority.... Club Sierra Health & Fitness Centres whole gym cleaning procedures also apply to the pool area and are always, and will continue to be applied. If you would like further details on these practices, please visit the gym page. We ask that anyone who has been overseas in the past 14 days, anyone who has come into contact with someone who has, and anyone that is feeling unwell, to please not attend the facility for any reason. If you are unsure if you fall into any of these categories, please phone reception. We highly encourage frequent hand washing and hand rubbing, and all other good hygiene practices. You will notice additional signs and some changes to the pool deck, viewing area and participation in particular. We ask all parents and guardians to observe and follow all procedures when attending swim lessons. TERM 1, 2020 Term 1 lessons are to remain in place at their designated times for the remainder of the term with the following adjustments to occur: Teachers will reduce physical contact with students and follow the recommended social distancing between everyone. Infant levels 1-4: Will remain the same with added distances between students and teachers, we will reduce the use of toys and increase the songs, to keep children thoroughly engaged in their lessons!! Infant level 5: Parents/guardians will be required to be in the water to help keep students separated and actively involved in their skill learning for the duration of each lessons. Infant level 6: Parents/guardians may be required to be in the water. The instructor will advise at the time of each class if this will be necessary. Please come prepared to be in the water each lesson. After school lessons: Students will be asked to maintain distances between one another, with teachers having activities set to help children reduce contact with one another. TERM 2, 2020 Term 2 lessons will transition to private lessons only, with a maximum of two students per class. There will be morning and afternoon time slots available for these lessons. Private lessons are $37 per half hour lesson or $370 for the term to secure a set time each week Please speak further with reception if you would like to continue with private lessons for Term 2. 07.01.2022 Welcome back! Its been great to see you all back in the pool today!

07.01.2022 With the warmer weather finally starting to return and everybody venturing back out to our beautiful beaches, lakes and rivers for some water fun, its important that we remind our kids about the differences between swimming in the pool and swimming in our natural waterways!

05.01.2022 This is a good initiative. Anyone on here interested? As a valued member of the Endorsed Swim School community I would like to inform you of an important announcement coming from the Minister for Education and Training tomorrow morning.... Royal Life Saving WA and the Department of Training & Workforce Development and have identified that there is a shortage of Pool Lifeguards and Swimming Teachers in WA. To overcome this immediate shortage and create a pipeline of skilled workers for the aquatic recreation industry, the WA Government will be announcing tomorrow that reduced-fee training courses will soon become available. Under the highly successful "Lower fees, local skills" initiative, the WA Government plans to include Pool Lifeguards and Swimming Instructors as part of the reduced-fee courses. It is envisaged that this will encourage jobseekers, women and young people, to complete these training courses to become Pool Lifeguards and Swimming Teachers.

04.01.2022 In a small controlled environment, we have the capacity to apply appropriate social distancing (we are well within the recommended guidelines). Bubs enjoying song filled lessons!! Please reference our previous post for changes to lessons for the rest of the term.
