25.01.2022 Meet lovely Noor, she is now my cleaning partner in grime! She has now joined me in making sure every single time you stay the place sparkles! All those remote controls, light switches and door handles get the once over. She is in charge of those clean sheets, fluffy towels and the little extra chocolates in the fridge. (So I am especially nice to her) Welcome aboard Noor. Still smiling after all that cleaning.

24.01.2022 Unfortunately a summer of fire, floods and now Corona Virus, has affected many accommodation hosts and I have not escaped this. So to generate more bookings for March, I am offering a special deal. 23.01.2022 Every time I go away myself on holidays, I learn something new. This time it was how to fold those toilet rolls neatly for the next guest. So far I have learned how to three sheet and hospital corner a bed, that light switches, door handles and remote controls need the Detol wipe treatment every time! (this was my pet peeve and it was always going to happen!) And the pots and pans need to be good quality no stick! Please feel free to give me your holiday accommodation tips in the comments. 22.01.2022 Corona Virus info To all my lovely past and future guests. Due to the Corona Virus, my bookings have been very slow, so I just wanted to reassure anyone who might be thinking of taking a trip to Brisbane for that weekend city break but are unsure of what that means for your accommodation booking. 1. I have had no overseas guests stay since early Dec last year. This is due to being away myself since just after Christmas and most of January, as I manage my own apartments. Th...en there were bushfires and floods. So no overseas travelers during Feb either. 2. Most of my guests are from country Qld, NSW and Vic. The majority are from Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, looking or needing a few days in the city without the long drive. 3. No matter what, the apartments get a thorough clean between guests. This includes freshly washed sheets and towels, bathrooms and toilets get hygienically cleaned and sanitized, as does kitchen and every other room. My apartments are sparkling clean for every guest. This includes disinfecting light switches, door handles and remote controls. The cleaning regime takes approximately 3 hours with 2 people! Its cleaner than a hotel room! 4. Every time a guest stays, they not only support my business, they support every small business in my area, from the convenience store to the Story Bridge Hotel, Coffee Shops, take away food, local restaurants and the people I pay to help me clean. 5. Most importantly, I have PLENTY of toilet paper!!! Haha. Plenty of it. You wont be caught short. (Just dont slip the spare rolls into your luggage!) I have a special deal for March if you book via the website below of $180 for the first night then $130 per subsequent nights, this rate includes cleaning fee and car parking. Nothing more to pay. 21.01.2022 Happy to announce with the easing of restrictions, my apartments will be available to book again from July 12th. This date is after the term 2 school holidays and leaves plenty of time for all those restaurants and bars to also re-open as our beautiful city slowly comes back to life. 16.01.2022 School Holidays are coming up. As I will be away for most of them and I service the apartments myself, these dates are blocked on Airbnb so I dont get multiple bookings that I cant service. However I will take a private booking during this time. 16.01.2022 When you walk in to clean and discover that your lovely guest has not only stripped the beds but washed and dried all the sheets, towels and pillow cases for you! Thank you so much. I am still recovering from the dreaded NZ Flu I picked up on my own travels and this saved me so much time and made my day. These guests have stayed before and they are just lovely people. This is why I enjoy what I do.

12.01.2022 Sadly due to the travel and health implications of Covid-19, These apartments are now officially taken off the short term let market until this situation passes. In fact they have been for the last 2 weeks. All my guests have been given the opportunity to cancel their reservations and been issued with a full refund of deposit or pre-payment. I feel that this is in the best interest of our community as a whole and the most sensible action. Whilst running a small business requ...ires income, I do have other options to pay the bills. Long term letting will be my choice, depending on the length of time we must all put our lives on hold. So I am not concerned. This is an unprecedented situation and I am happy to adapt to the circumstance. One of my apartments has now been allocated to my son, a uni student who tutors on the side, he has now committed to online tutorials for the University and will be working 12+ hour days as well as trying to study for his own degree. So a quiet and dedicated space around the clock is needed. However, for now, I will make the second apartment available for 14 days in selected circumstance for friends and family who need to self isolate due to this virus. 12.01.2022 Just had my parents stay for a week and we went for a night time walk. Kangaroo Point is full of these beautiful heritage listed trees. This one is in Capt Burke Park just up the street and is my favourite! All lit up at night, its a great photo opportunity. The rest of July is now booked out and August is starting to fill, dont forget Sept is full of River Festival events in the city. Riverfire is on Sat 28th Sept. I have 2 beautiful apartments with free parking within walking distance to the park under the Story Bridge. Free secure parking. Both have views of the bridge but Unit 7 has the best views. 11.01.2022 Winter is coming..... The nights are getting colder. But each apartment now has a beautiful electric fireplace to keep you warm and cosy during winter. However, this is Brisbane! So fire effect only when you just want a glass of wine and ambience, remote control heater when it gets a bit chilly. Win Win!

11.01.2022 Next time you are thinking of a few days away, please consider looking into short term rental, Airbnb, Bookingdotcom or someone you know who offers a great place to stay. After becoming a member of many of these platforms, and host communities i can totally recommend this kind of accommodation. Hosts who work hard to give you a great stay, Accommodation you wouldnt normally have access to, those little extras like free parking, chocolates sometimes even breakfast, and all at a competitive price. I love hosting short term stays and can totally recommend this kind of accommodation.

08.01.2022 Next week is a big one for my lovely apartments. I am doing a bit of a Mini Reno! One apartment will be getting new carpet and a bathroom makeover. The other one will be getting ceiling fans in both bedrooms just in time for summer, and bathroom makeover that includes a beautiful frameless glass shower screen. There is nothing quite like the River and Story Bridge at sunset on a warm summer night here. It lives and breathes, always changing and evolving, yet maintaining its historical beauty.
