25.01.2022 The year is coming to an end with December being very busy hay making and harvesting and also calving down an ET program. Mid month we could have done without a grass fire which burnt out approximately 300 acres. We would like to thank all our neighbours and friends who helped fight the fire and remove the stock from harm. A special thanks to all the Fire Brigades who attended. We wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year. Regards ... Barry Bright Manager See more

18.01.2022 A special visitor to our "Cluster Angus" promotional marquee at Oberon Show was Emily from Forbes who returned later with a blue ribbon.

18.01.2022 "Cluster" currently has for sale a small number of selected Herd Bulls - most by embryo transfer. They were very difficult to photograph, but these are just a few to look at. All Agents welcome.

17.01.2022 The "Cluster" Stud ran its first promotion at the Oberon Show on the 20th of February. We had a very successful day with a steady flow of interested potential clients. The show its self was a credit to a young motivated committee with the ground looking a picture. Our next outing will be the Bathurst Royal Show in early April.

16.01.2022 Our new cover photo is SAV Prosperity 9131. At Cluster we continue to search for the worlds best genetics and this year we have selected "Prosperity" to lead our artificial breeding program.

15.01.2022 At this years Bathurst Show "Cluster" ran a promotion from a commercial site. This was a different way of promoting our cattle as we are in the early stages of developing our brand. We also supplied All Saints College with three yearling heifers to prepare and exhibit at the show. The students did a wonderful job and on the day were rewarded with a Reserve Champion (who stood second to the All Breeds Champion of the show). It was a pleasure dealing with the staff and young students at the College. We thank them for a job well done.

13.01.2022 Maiden Stud Heifers running in front of the "Riverview" homestead.

10.01.2022 Just a few photos of yearling bulls that will be For Sale next year.

09.01.2022 After a very dry hot Autumn we have headed into a very cold, wet and hungry winter. Although we managed to get quite a lot of oates sown, and along with hay that was put down last spring we should be able to battle through. The two photos show weaner steers and heifers running on the river flats at "Riverview" sown to oates.

05.01.2022 The Principals of the "Cluster Stud" are Norman & John Jeffreson. Although Normans business background was in the jewellery business, he has a long association with the land. In the early sixties Norman & his wife Rae purchased the property "Mountain Home" at Manildra where his interest in stud cattle began. He established the "Solitaire Stud" importing the first Charolais Cattle into Australia. In later years he purchased the "Riverview" property at OConnell where he ran t...he successful "Cluster Poll Hereford" stud for a number of years. In 2012 at the age of ninety three Norman, along with his son John decided to establish an Angus Stud with the assistance of Barry Bright of Selectabull Beef Cattle Management as the Manager. Selecting a small group of elite females as donors from DSK, Padwalla & Millah Murrah went about increasing numbers by embryo transfer, using the best available AI bulls from Australia, USA & Canada. All stud females are inseminated once before going to a back up bull. From this small group of donor cows the stud now has 150 herd book recorded animals plus 100 frozen embryos which will be implanted this year. See more

01.01.2022 Since our last posting several months ago, it is with deep sadness we note the passing of our founder Norman Jeffreson. Norman passed away at the end of June at the age of 97. He will be sadly missed by all.
