24.01.2022 These changes apply for metropolitan Melbourne. The restrictions on which businesses can operate will come into effect at 11.59PM Wednesday 5 August and are expected to run for six weeks until Sunday, 13 September 20. Industries will be closed and must work-from-home unless they are on the approved list. It is incredibly complex to divide up the economy into categories which are in and out. There will be unintended consequences from any list, and this is no exception. That’s... why we are establishing an Industry Coordination Centre in the Department of Jobs, Precinct sand Regions to manage the many questions businesses will have over the coming days. Everyone will have opinions about which businesses should or should not be allowed to operate. We have come to this list based on what will be required to stop the spread of coronavirus. Businesses should contact the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions via the Business Victoria and website and hotline on13 22 15 to discuss their situation. See more

24.01.2022 Jordan Crugnale MP. Member for Bass, announced yesterday that State government funding had been allocated in the budget, to the building of a new Fire Station for the Clyde CFA. This is very welcome news for the volunteers of Clyde CFA. With our volunteer membership now increasing to a situation where we have outgrown our existing 1944 building the announcement could not have come at a better time. The building of a new Fire Station will ensure that the best possible service will be given to the community of Clyde, Clyde North and Cardinia. It will enable us to plan for the future growth of both the Clyde CFA and the community.

19.01.2022 Food + garden waste recycling is here! Food waste can now go into your garden waste bin so it can all be turned into compost. Using this service is optional and there is no changes to your usual collection day or collection frequency - always remember to place your bins out the night before collection. The food scraps and garden waste collected will be turned into compost which is then used on Victorian farms to grow crops and produce. Today’s food and green waste grows ...tomorrow’s lunch! By collecting household food scraps and garden waste together, we also reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. For more information please visit: https://www.casey.vic.gov.au/food-waste-recycling

14.01.2022 The Patron Saint of firefighters (chimney sweeps and soap makers) is St. Florian He was born around 250 AD in ancient Roman He joined the Roman Army and advanced in the ranks, rising to commander of the imperial army in the Roman province. In addition to his military duties, he was also responsible for organizing and leading firefighting brigades. Florian organized and trained an elite group of soldiers whose sole duty was to fight fires. The Fire Service Star is used by t...he CFA for caps, hats, helmets, dress uniforms and on Long Service and Outstanding Service badges. The eight pointed star is the Cross of Saint John. It originated in the Maltese Cross, the emblem of the Knights of Malta and was used by the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem at the time of the crusades. The points (or tenets) were said to represent the knightly virtues of tact, loyalty, dexterity, observation, sympathy, explicitness, gallantry and perseverance.
