23.01.2022 The fifth NHD Victorian Winter Fair was a huge success! Congratulations and thanks to the committee members, sponsors and exhibitors. The quality of the animals shown this year was outstanding, well done to all involved. Clydevale Holsteins' show resulted in: Hannah placing 4th in the Junior Handlers, great job Hannie! 22.01.2022 Clydevale Piston Sunsmart has placed Honourable Mention Snr Yearling in the 2020 All Australian. She has had a big week after winning the All Australian Calf Class too. Congratulations to the winner and reserve, another strong class.

21.01.2022 Sundae won the All Australian Mature Cow tonight! We love this cow! She had twins in October and then after a long hot summer she looked great at IDW where Brad Cullen took this fantastic photo. Two weeks after IDW she had bad mastitis and nearly died. Sundae then recovered and went on to be the top PI cow in our herd (over 400 cows) and produced over 12,500 litres and 840kg solids. Her progeny look exciting too with daughters by Solomon and Aftershock and grand daughters by Rambo, King Doc, Racer and Clydevale Contrast Piston (ex C, Mr Sam Pisa EX91 2E).

21.01.2022 We're excited to announce that two of our favourite cows have been selected as finalists! Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae EX92 2E - 2018-19 All Australian Finalist in the 6 years and over class. Clydevale MrSam Pisa EX 91 3E - 2018-19 Cow of the Year Finalist. Her July'19 Landslide daughter sells next week in the Showcase Video Auction in Inverloch. Congratulations to all other finalists, especially the numerous finalists from the North West Sub Branch, great effort everyone.

18.01.2022 Clydevale Solomon Foxy GP83 2yo has placed Honourable Mention Snr 2yo in the 2020 Semex-Holstein Australia All Australian Competition! Congratulations to all other competitors. We're really excited about Foxy, she is due in Autumn to Sidekick and is a daughter of Clydevale Panopoly Feather EX90 1SBC. Panopoly was a Goldwyn x Mtoto that we imported from France in 2005. Feather is now in retirement with Pisa EX91 3E and Glory EX92 2E and she also has a nice Crush Dtr, Fox GP83. Our three All Australian Finallists resulted in a WINNER and two HONOURABLE MENTIONS! Good luck to all involved in the remaining classes, it's a great competition!

16.01.2022 IDW was a long hot week, hope everyone got home ok. Pictured is the top 6 in the outstanding mature cow class of 16 cows. On the far right in 6th place, Mark's showing Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae EX91 2E. She was feeling the heat but is now home enjoying the cool change after the temperature reached 47 degrees the day she arrived home. Thanks to the show crew and those at home running the farm to allow us to get a team to IDW 2019!

15.01.2022 We're excited to announce our winning 2020 All Australian Holstein Youth Calf, Clydevale Piston Sunsmart with Hannah Dee on the halter. Well done Hannie! Also thanks to Brad Cullen for the great photo. Sunsmart is now freshly calved and classified GP84. She also recently placed 4th Jnr 2yo heifer in the North West On Farm Challenge. She has four Sidekick daughters and a Mirand daughter and we look forward to working with them. Sunsmart's Grand Dam, Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae EX93, reigning All Australian Mature Cow, calved in with a heifer on the weekend too and looks great. Congratulations to all other exhibitors, sponsors and organisers of the 2020 competition.

Lolly is also the first EX in her family and goes back to Clydevale Lola GP, born 1975, one of the first cows we registered. Quality is also the first EX in her family and comes from Bedales Voyageur Queenie GP, bought in a line of heifers from Murray Sowter in the 1970s. Developing cow families that you can rely on has been our goal. All but two of the above cows are from Australian bloodlines. See more

11.01.2022 The 6th NHD Victorian Winter Fair has been and gone and resulted in a big success. Thanks to all organisers, sponsors ans exhibitors for making it what it is. We had a great show with Hannah leading the Youth Show Champion heifer, Clydevale Piston Sunsmart. Sunsmart also placed 3rd in her age class and second in the Holstein Youth Calf class. She is sired by Clydevale Contrast Piston VG87 (Dam, Clydevale MrSam Pisa EX91 3E) and her dam is Clydevale Solomon Sunspot GP then Hul...labaloo Bolton Sundae EX92 2E. It's been a big week for the Sundae family. Another daughter of Sundae, Solomon Sunbeam GP84 2yo has been down with an injury for 8 weeks. We have been feeding her and helping her recover, hoping to allow her to calve. On Sunday afternoon she gave birth to a healthy heifer calf, Clydevale Rambo Survivor. The will of Sunbeam to live is unbelievable, in 8 weeks she has not laid out flat once. Now she has given birth we hope she will be up and about soon! Thanks to all at home and at the show and a big thankyou to Dirk Thompson for fitting our string and especially getting Sunsmart out looking so good!

01.01.2022 Hullabaloo Bolton Sundae EX91 2E 6th place Mature Cow at IDW 2019 in a strong class of 16 cows. Thanks to Brad Cullen for another great photo and to Dirk Thompson for preparing our string. Also thanks to Sundae's breeder, Murray Varcoe, for enabling us to buy her at auction as a pregnant heifer. She's a great cow to work with and was our highest production cow last year too.
