22.01.2022 For anyone that has gone into my Facebook shop page here and been slightly confused by the collections ( strips, shapes etc) my apologies for the mess up. Or Facebook should be apologising for updating everything and changing how it all works. Its doing my head in completely! Need my tech son , Casey to heeeeelllppp!! Bear with me!

22.01.2022 After a 6 month delay, Beate and I were finally able to conduct this exciting workshop! With Beate, from Mosaic Bazaar, bringing along her stunning Orsoni and Morassutti Eco Smalti Travelling Library, for students to purchase during the class. Always a wonderful treat to have the Smalti "travelling" library at workshops and the students have a face to face view of the Smalti and to make it easy to mix and match colours. I had constructed a driftwood and leaf cut out piece for each student, and students used vintage china and smalti, in a creative manner on their leaves. The driftwood is protected with tape, whilst working on the leaf and is removed later. Fantastic ideas came forth, a few challenges along the way, but fun had by all. I look forward to seeing the finished products in time. A lovely day had by all at Aldinga :)

19.01.2022 I made this mosaic a couple of years ago and recently sold it to my (ex) mother in law! Hand made glass fusions and lots of gorgeous Millefiori. I dropped off two others for her garden today and she wasnt sure if the Pines mosaic would go anywhere in her garden....but she found the perfect spot in her kitchen! And it fit exactly above her cooktop! So she has a one off unique splashback! Fancy that!

07.01.2022 First mosaic Violin made in my classes and what a beautiful job Leah has done! Gorgeous colour selection and lovely design. Im so enjoying see your passion grow for mosaics! Well done

06.01.2022 Nicole finished her Smalti and Millefiori house numbers last Saturday and they are now proudly hanging at her home! A beginner to Smalti, Nicole, a fantastic effort and lovely colour scheme. Well done you!

05.01.2022 Finally, I can reveal one of most recent pieces I created for the Mosaic Association of Aust. and NZ,SA branch exhibition, "Flow" now on at Pepper Streeet Arts, Magill. Its called "Regenerative" and I found this burnt piece of wood at Cape Jervis, overlooking Kangaroo Island. My thoughts went back to earilier this year and the devastating fires. I had the idea of the "flow" of the effect fires have on our land and the regeneration that occurs later, with such a flourish of growth. It was a difficult piece to route, and Italian Smalti, and Eco Smalti are the medium used, embedded into the wood.

04.01.2022 A selection of my mosaics

03.01.2022 I think this would have to be the quickest project ever! Leah is on a roll and she bought these gorgeous ceramic houses from me and stuck them on her strawberry pot, strawberry plants in.....done! So cute!!

01.01.2022 Created another simple pot to put in my garden whilst in Iso and I enjoy doing these because I dont have to think, just do! When Im teaching, my brain is going in all sorts of directions, depending on the student and their project, so these little pots are relaxing fun to create Used hand made ceramic strips and burgundy/magenta grout.

01.01.2022 Leah has added her Monarch mosaic ( created using mesh method) to her pot and it looks fantastic! Lovely work Leah, and tick .....new technique learnt!
