21.01.2022 Each year the team from Collas Moro Ross take part in Movember to help raise funds and awareness for men’s health- in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Prostate cancer has a higher mortality rate than breast cancer with over 3,500 Australian men losing their battles each year. Testicular cancer remains the most prevalent cancer in young men. 8 Australians take their lives every day - 3/4 of them are men. 60 men are lost to suicide aro...und the world every hour. This year, even men in the team that cannot even grow a full-formed moustache (Paul & Hamish) are getting involved, as whatever you grow will save a bro. 16.01.2022 With Remembrance Day next week, it is fitting and timely to recognise our founding partner Peter Collas, now deceased. Mr Collas was a 3 time prisoner of war in the European theatre, and co-founder of Southport legacy (now Gold Coast Legacy); a charity without peer in the world looking after the welfare of the surviving spouses and children of deceased veterans. If you cannot attend your local Cenotaph be mindful of 11 am on November 11 to pause in silence for 1 minute in Remembrance for when the guns fell silent in the Great War 102 years ago.
