12.01.2022 ***Volunteer alert*** During lockdown, are you feeling called to do something extra? You’re not the only one! Many of us are feeling the same way.... If you are spatially and logistically minded and have great project management skills, we may have the opportunity for you! CMS Victoria’s office lease is coming to an end, and it looks like we need to move - we may have found more suitable premises. To that end, we are looking for a volunteer Office Move Project Manager to help us. You will mastermind our office move, including managing the project timeline, monitoring costs and liaising with external contractors. This role will report to our Project Accountant. CMS Victoria is growing; we are on-track to place 24 missionary families by 2024 that means more activity within the branch. From building more relationships with potential missionaries, to more mission education with churches across Victoria. More training, housing and security for missionaries, to more communication with our society. Our office is the engine that keeps Victorian missionaries on the field, and prepares the way for missionaries 5, 10, 20 and 30 years from now. Your help will allow us to adapt to our growing needs. 02.01.2022 Jesus teaches us to pray! At this year’s second CMS Victoria prayer day, we launched our Vision 2024 Prayer. Will you pray this together with us? As the Church Missionary Society, we have been convicted of this again at our 2020 Summer Conference (check out the videos here: https://www.cms.org.au/vic/resources/)... So, please take a moment to remember again the particular privilege of prayer: Jesus invites us to pray that the Lord of the harvest will send more workers into the field. (Matthew 9:48; Luke 10:2). We’re calling on you to reaffirm your commitment to this privilege and join in this prayer, daily. Wei-Han Kuan has written this prayer for us, the Church Missionary Society.
