The judges liked my Prairie Fresh ribs (3rd) and pork (7th). Brisket came in a disappointing 13th and they thought my chicken was from Wuhan China lol . Still managed 9th overall. 13.01.2022 It’s with great sadness that The Cairns BBQ Classic 2020 is being rescheduled to 2021. In response to the latest advice from the State and Federal governments ongoing to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation, the uncertainty around both international and national air travel and the quarantining of our international participants, we are rescheduling the Cairns BBQ Classic and the June Masterclasses to 2021. As saddened as it is to announce this news to all who have played a role in... bringing this massive event to the region, the safety of everyone is our top priority, we would like to start by thanking the Australasian Barbecue Alliance for the amazing opportunity of a championship series round, we would like to personally thank Rachel Davis for all of her support and assistance this year (and many phone calls) and Justin JT Thompson for his amazing help. We are truly grateful for all the support we have received from our sponsors and people who have registered for our events. 08.01.2022 How awesome is our bbq community, when I popped into The Backyard Cairns to get our takeaway burgers Aaron Habgood hooked me up with a little bbq pack to take home with me their homemade rubs and sauces, their amazing, the jalapeño sauce was my favourite, but being 100% honest it was a very close first to their bbq sauce
