25.01.2022 We truly believe that in order to find something that is sustainable long term, there has to be balance That’s why everything we do at the studio is based around that principal. Our sessions are 25 minutes because we understand people are time poor but still want to be fit and healthy, so we make it as easy as possible for people to just show up and work out. Our 8 week challenges aren’t meal plan based set and forget challenges, we work closely with each of the chal...lenge participants to get them the best, sustainable results whilst also educating them to make better choices once the challenge is over. We still host social events with cake and alcohol because it’s okay to eat cake and have a drink every now and then! And we also promote rest days because they can be just as important as your training sessions! Now don’t get us wrong, if you want to get results you can’t just do a couple of 25 minute sessions a week and continue to eat whatever you like. But you can have a day off, enjoy yourself at a social event, eat junk food every now and then, but the point is you go back to your healthier habits straight after. Too much of anything can be a bad thing (unless it’s drinking more water, seems that can solve all of lifes problems ) so remember, consistency is key, but BALANCE is the key to staying consistent! 25.01.2022 INBODY SCANS NOW INCLUDED WITH ALL MEMBERSHIPS! Yep, that's right as of the 31st of October InBody scans will now be included as part of our memberships! These are a great way to measure your progress, monitor your body composition and also help set realistic physical goals with our coaches. ... Will you be getting an inbody scan when the scanner is here this Saturday?

25.01.2022 2020 has been one of the most challenging years we’ve faced both in business and personally, but it’s also been really rewarding so we wanted to put together a post to celebrate our achievements over the past year! We rebranded the studio in the middle of a global pandemic (talk about timing) stepping away from the previous franchise, going out on our own to follow our own vision! We survived an 8 week lockdown and pivoted fast (we’re talking within a day fas...t) and went from being in studio to completely online so we could stay connected to our members. This meant us coaches doing every single workout with the members live (the MyZone stats spike in April/May was real!) and also fun stuff like hosting a virtual quiz night (who remembers Muzza’s costume), outdoor sessions when some of the restrictions lifted and of course another epic MyZone challenge to keep everyone working on their goals despite the studio doors being closed. We refined our services and added more classes to the timetable! We currently have 72 classes now with an average of 5-6 members attending each class, which blows our mind as when we first opened the studio, I think we had 10 classes with maybe an average of 3 people per class! Our members achieved some pretty epic results this year too! Physical transformations like weight loss, improved fitness, increased performance ability and also mental transformations like improved confidence, a new found love for exercising and complete lifestyle transformations. We are so proud of everything you guys achieve and literally do a happy dance when we see it all coming together so well done! So thank you to every single person who has stuck by us this year and shown their support in one way or another. We are truly grateful and it’s thanks to you guys that we’re able to celebrate all of these wonderful things. 24.01.2022 These porridge oats are our go to breakfast and we thought we'd share our *not so* secret recipe with you guys! We include protein powder in our oats for a more balanced, filling meal but you don't have to. You'll need: ... 1 cup of rolled oats 300(ish)mls of almond milk 1 banana 1/2 cup mixed berries 1 scoop of protein powder toppings of your choice 1 First thing you need to do is blend together (we use our ninja blender but you can use a nutribullet) the protein powder, almond milk and the banana til it's a smooth consistency. 2 Then add the liquid over the cup of oats in a saucepan - the liquid should just cover the oats, if it doesn't add a little more almond milk or water. 3 Then have it a low heat and cook through for roughly 6-8 minutes, stirring it occasionally. We add our frozen berries in here as they then defrost. 4 And that's it! Then you can top it with whatever you like, we usually add sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, honey and sometimes fresh passionfruit! A super healthy, filling and delicious breakfast!



24.01.2022 Today we celebrated the end of our Spring 8 Week Challenge with those who could make it and presented the winners with their prize packs! Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge we were blown away with the results you all achieved And well done to our 4 (yeah... we couldn’t choose just 3 ) winners! ... 1st place went to Katalin, who lost 7.6kg and dropped 7.5% body fat! Winning $500 cash, a $100 voucher for Skin Aesthetics Perth, a supplement pack from Fat Burners Only and a towel from Macron in one of our Co.Fit tote bags! 2nd place went to both Gareth and Kelly as we simply couldn’t split these two! There's plenty of free options out there such as:... Youtube - there are so many free home workouts on YouTube Walking/Running - doesn't cost a thing and it's a great way to get outdoors! Instagram also has plenty of home workout videos And if none of those are your thing then you could try less expensive options such as: 24/7 gyms Purchase a self guided program from a coach Follow an online or TV workout program Our memberships aren't as cheap as any of the above, but they're still less expensive than a regular PT session and are: Small group (there's only 8 people max per class) Motivating and supportive environment Include regular check ins and 1:1's with a coach Sessions are fun and enjoyable If you've tried the other options and find you're not getting the results you want or don't enjoy what you're doing then maybe it's time to give us a go? 23.01.2022 Last week we did some boxing drills with the kids and it was lots of fun! We try to mix up the kids sessions (like we do for the adults) to keep it fun and interesting, yet still a good form of exercise! Focusing on endurance, strength and flexibility in each of their sessions. Did you know that studies have shown regular exercise can improve kids focus, school performance, sleep and energy levels. Plus exercising at a young age also encourages the continuation of an active lifestyle into adulthood which is always a good thing!

21.01.2022 Time to showcase another one of our amazing members! This is Jo, she recently completed our spring 8 week challenge and did amazing, losing 6.3kgs and dropping 4.2% body fat. Seeing the changes Jo made over the 8 weeks was so inspiring and we're so proud of her! Jo also wrote us this amazing testimonial about her experience with us that we wanted to share with you! "I used to find gyms intimidating unaware of how to use the equipment and worried that I would look ...silly or worst injure myself by not learning the proper techniques. 18.01.2022 This month Co.Fit Studio turns 3! Every year we feel incredibly blessed that we get to do a job we love, every single day alongside awesome people. We’ve learnt a lot over the past three years and are pretty damn proud of how far we’ve come in this time! So thank you to each and every member, new and old who have walked through our doors and been part of our journey. We are so grateful for all of your support and the friendships we have made ... 18.01.2022 Are you too comfortable with your training regime at the moment? Are you training with intention or purpose or just showing up out of habit? It's okay if you're just showing up for enjoyment or out of habit and are happy with that, but if you want to continue to progress then it's important to always be working towards improvement, no matter your fitness level. So if you normally grab the 5kg dumbbells go for a slightly heavier weight to challenge yourself and continue to p...rogress. If you normally do your push ups on your knees try for a couple off your toes. And if you often find yourself stopping as the timer counts down the last 3 seconds work to the end. There's always room to improve! What's one thing you're going to focus on improving when you're in the studio next?

18.01.2022 Kids holidays are over, which means kids sessions are back this week! Every Monday and Wednesday of the school term we have kids sessions at the studio from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. They're great for not only exercise but team building, co-ordination and increasing kids confidence and they're also lots of fun! ... Lauren from La Luna Face Painting and Balloon Twisting for the incredible face painting she did for all the kids. Mark from Active Games and Entertainment for the games on the day. 16.01.2022 Let's talk about rest days! From experience over the past few years a common thing we see (and something we've also been guilty of) is going "all in" from the get go (we're talking 6+ sessions a week) and whilst that's fantastic, it also can be hard to maintain long term. Adding a couple of rest days in a week between your training allows your body to not only recover from the workout but also allows you to work harder during your sessions and avoid that burn out fee...ling. As well as create a healthy balance, meaning you're not just going through the motions of your workout and are still enjoying it! Rest days don't need to be chilling on the couch either, it could be going for a walk or doing some lighter form of exercise such as yoga or stretching. So try to include at least 2 rest days (or less intense exercise days) into your training routine! See more

12.01.2022 We recently shared a post touching on how this time of year people are setting their New Years resolutions or looking to improve their health and fitness in the New Year and whilst that’s great, Jake’s got a few tips to take into consideration if you are looking to join a new fitness facility Be mindful of offers at this time of year.. you would have seen them all by now, circulating on Facebook and Instagram the usual sign up now and don’t pay until the New Year, X months ...free etc. Whilst it’s great to get a bargain don’t let an offer sway you to sign up if you wouldn’t have otherwise. Think about the pricing. If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful gym which is $10 a week where you can just show up, workout and go home then that’s great, but more often than not people need more support than that and unless they also hire a PT they simply won’t use their membership so keep that in mind. Make sure the location is convenient.. we’ve touch on this one before, you want to make it as easy as possible for yourself to get there and build that momentum, so if you have to drive 20 minutes out of your way to get there, how often will you actually go? You need to enjoy what you’re doing! If you enjoy what you’re doing you’re more likely to stick to it and achieve your goals. Is it a supportive environment? More often than not we need guidance along the way, whether it be motivation, advice, support etc. so if you have an environment like that from the start, you’re more likely to get the results you’re looking for. Hopefully this video helps you guys if you are looking to improve your health and fitness in the new year!

12.01.2022 As we head into the final days of our last in studio challenge for 2020 we thought we'd share some information on some of the common signs that it's time to take a break... Poor performance - if you find you can't push yourself throughout your sessions like you usually can or are seeing a lot of blue and green on your @myzonemoves profile it may be time to rest and recharge for a few days! Soreness/injuries - now you're gonna be sore if you're training regular...ly and working hard throughout your sessions, but if you're experiencing a delay in recovery time or suffering from an injury (or flare up from a previous injury) take some time off to recover. Reaching a plateau - this is a common one we see in the studio, people will train hard consistently for a long time (to the point of overtraining we've all heard Jake talking about this in the studio) and their results will start to plateau. Sometimes taking a short break can make the world of difference when it comes to breaking through a plateau. Low immunity - find yourself consistently getting sick, well it could be your bodies way of saying you need a break. Take some time off from work and exercise and give your body the rest it needs to get back to full health... besides, if you're sick you shouldn't be training anyway! One thing to add which follows on from our previous post on momentum, whilst we do recommend having some time off if you are experiencing any of the above, don't lose the momentum you've created.. take the time off and come back stronger and more determined to work on your health and fitness goals. Well not only does it mean our coaches can keep an eye on everyone in the class (sorry no hiding in a Co.Fit class) it means that we're able to... Correct technique where required... 10.01.2022 Excuses... we all make them from time to time, and for some reason, a lot of us seem to make excuses when it comes to our health and fitness. These are the most common ones we hear... "I don't have time"... Our sessions are only 25 minutes so they're over before you know it and our timetable is so flexible with 70 classes per week. "I don't have any one to look after the kids" Not to worry, we have a kids corner that you're welcome to bring the kids to for no extra cost! "I haven't exercised for a really long time" Our sessions are suitable for all fitness levels! Because all of our classes are capped at 8 people per class our coaches can work with you as an individual and modify the workout to suit you. "I don't have the motivation" No worries! That's what our coaches are for, you just need to show up to your sessions and we'll have the workout ready, the tunes blasting and before you know it you'll be motivated! 10.01.2022 Some of the most common questions we get asked are... I have an existing injury will I still be able to do your classes? Yes, of course! As our sessions are only 8 people per class we can always offer an alternative where required. ... Do you offer casual classes? We are launching our 10 visit passes in December, which allow you to casually attend 10 classes, however other than we don't offer pay as you go or casual options. How much does membership cost? We have a range of membership options to suit different budgets and lifestyles/goals. We like to arrange a call to discuss these options. Why won't you just send your timetable and price list? We like to have a conversation as it saves the back and forth messages as well as helps give us an idea if we would be a good fit for you and vice versa. It's not a sales pitch, just a conversation. Can I bring my kids to my sessions? Yes of course, we have a kids corner your kids are welcome to use during your sessions. We also have kids classes available for our members kids on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30pm. Do we offer a free trial? Yes, once we've had a discussion on the phone, if it all sounds good we will arrange a time for you to come in and try out a session before making any commitments. 09.01.2022 Struggling to maintain motivation to regularly exercise? Here's a few tips that can help with staying on track: Book your sessions in advance! We always recommend our members book their sessions for the week ahead on a Sunday evening, that way they can ahead for the week and treat those exercise sessions like important appointments they can't cancel. Find exercise you enjoy doing! There are so many different forms of exercise programs out there, we guarantee there ...will be something for you! Just find something you enjoy doing and can easily fit in to your lifestyle. Think about those post exercise endorphins! If you're thinking you reeeeeally can't be bothered going, just think how in 25 minutes time you're going to feel 1000 x better than you did before your workout! 03.01.2022 You might have seen Naomi on our stories or in our posts before, she's has been training with us for over a year now and first started doing 2 sessions per week before upgrading to unlimited and now averages 5 workouts a week! Despite having a few injuries Naomi hasn't let that stop her and we've been able to work around them to keep her moving! 01.01.2022 Sarah has been with us since we first opened the studio in 2017 and smashed some pretty big goals over that time, completely changing her lifestyle and making regular exercise part of her daily routine. Earlier this year Sarah gave birth to her beautiful twins and has since joined us back in the studio with her own lil' cheer squad! Recently she just completed our spring 8 week challenge and lost 6.5kgs and 4% body fat!
