11.01.2022 We are thrilled to receive this review from Seesaw Magazine for A Moving Portrait, devised and directed by Raewyn Hill. Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) dance students demonstrated impressive physicality in Rise: Program A. 'In clever, considered ways the dancers shift in space continuously; folding and unfolding in canon, weaving, gathering, being held and being draped over one another. The movement becomes highly physical, with dancers flung and swallowed by the large group. This impressive physicality is juxtaposed and balanced by brief images of Romantic-style gestures and softer, tender moments.' Review: Lauren Catellani
09.01.2022 "While The December Project is taking place independently of Co Youth, watching the maturity with which the young dancers presented their work-in-progress, it was easy to see the benefits they are gaining from the program." - Seesaw Magazine Congratulations to our Co:Youth alumni with the recent formation of their very own company! Proud to have been a part of their journey as emerging makers now contributing to the Perth Arts scene

The work was inspired by Theodore Gericault’s iconic Romantic painting, The Raft of the Medusa (1818-19). ... Devised and directed by Raewyn Hill and performed by Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) Dance students. Designed, built and crewed by Production and Design students.
