22.01.2022 Affirmations are written or spoken positive statements that, when consistently written or spoken, rewire our thoughts and beliefs. If you have a negative, repetitive thought that makes you feel like crap, you can replace it with an empowering thought! If you repeat it to yourself on the regular, such as when that negative thought pops up AND at set times each day, you'll be practicing this new belief; this helps it become ingrained into your automatic memory. ... Over time, this thought becomes a habitual thought and you truly BELIEVE it! One quick way to get started with this is to write down a negative thought that you often have, THEN write down a positive thought that empowers you and counters that FALSE, self-critical thought. Then you'll want to repeat this statement at least 3 times a day, saying or writing it 5-10 times each session. Put it on a note and put it where you'll see it often. Make it your phone lock screen image! Identifying the lies we tell ourselves about ourselves and replacing them with the truth is a HUGE step forward in shifting to a positive mindset!
