When @fairfaxmedia request an interview for their lifestyle magazine and say 'pick a favourite restaurant' how does a foodie decide??? @eccoristorante has been a part of our family for literally decades! We celebrated all three of our kids' christenings as well as countless other celebrations here over the years so this was the perfect place to meet with journalist Jennifer and talk all things TV, business, family & life! by the way..., how bloody amazing does this balmain bug gnocchi look? #foodiesofinsta #foodielife

23.01.2022 After cooking with me in the 1930s the beautiful @kategibbs gifted me a copy of her cook book 'Margaret and me' It prompted me to go through all my cook books at home this week and dig out a few of my Margaret Fulton books from the archives. Like her grandmother, Kate's recipes and tips are presented in a way that any novice or experienced cook can attempt with confidence. I love how her anecdotes and stories of her childhood in her grandmother's kitchen are woven into each... recipe. I look forward to following her career as she continues her grandmother's legacy as well as carving out one of her own. Till we cook together again Miss Kate! A lovely gentleman who started out as a fan of the show last season and now has become a friend, sent us a copy of this magazine that he saved. @patrickcaruana1 is a photographer from Geelong and also sent us a couple of his beautiful photographs along with a lovely hand written note that reads... 22.01.2022 In the 1920s, more and more women had thrown away the corsets which had literally been restraining them for years. They began adopting the more fluid, style of the modern woman, the Flapper. Frowned on by established society for their wayward, partying antics, few people realised that these modern women were leading the push to go beyond the dictated expectations of society. They were no longer content to be pigeon-holed and, after the horrors and restrictions of the Great Wa...r, the sense of relief gave way to optimism. 21.01.2022 The wonderful volunteers and team from @redcrossau It was such a great experience for the girls & I to meet these amazing people who work tirelessly in our community to help those in need. We heard stories from the past about how women helped the war effort by volunteering their time & resources even when their men sometimes didn't come home. For over 100 years the Australian Red Cross has been saving lives and supporting people before and after disasters strike. They work... to alleviate suffering during wars and conflict and promote the laws of war. They assist our most vulnerable community members no matter their circumstances. (That's our director Mike in front)

19.01.2022 Well hello summer weather This morning I decided that it was self-care Thursday! I had a bit of a lousy day yesterday, nothing too dramamtic just one of those days when you feel like sh*t, there's too much traffic on the roads and not enough hours in the day! So it was my usual 6km morning run, a facial and a hair cut to snap me out of it today! ... Self care doesn't mean you're self indulgent. It is so important to take time for yourself and find clarity. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. I truly appreciate the time you all take to comment and engage. Its because of this that I absolutely love what I do (in business and tv!) and I look forward to entertaining and educating you more in future

18.01.2022 Just a little 1920s glam! You'll notice that the clothing changes rather dramatically this decade. Women's clothes were much looser and that hourglass fitted female form becomes straight up and down and flat chested! (What's worse?) You'll see a few different looks on us ladies this decade. 1940s women's fashion was about creating an hourglass silhouette with masculine details: padded shoulders, nipped-in high waist tops, and A-lineskirts came down to the knee.
