When you have heavy shopping - Lucky you did some Farmer’s Carries! When you need to pick up sacks of potatoes - Lucky you lifted some Atlas Stones! When you need to chop wood - Lucky you swung a sledgehammer! When you need to change a tyre - Lucky you are used to flipping tyres!

This beneficial stress is called Eustress. What’s the difference? Distress is any type of stress that has a physiologically negative effect on your body. If you sit under fluorescent lighting, breathing stale air and working in a job you don’t find fulfilling, this is distress.... Eustress is stress that creates a ‘hormetic' effect, whereby our body becomes more resilient after the stress is applied. This includes exercise, cold showers, hot saunas and even powerful plant compounds like curcumin & green tea extract. We can protect ourselves against distressful situations by looking after our nutrition, practicing mindfulness and seeking eustress.
