Each year we have interpreted the idea of BIG NAMES, SMALL SCALE using intricate models of places in St Albans. This year, with the theme of ESCAPE AND EXPLORE, we used a hidden house in the bush to evoke a haven for literature and conversation. We love the result. Featuring two of Australias rising stars, Erik Vent and Genevieve Sibbick, it follows the journey of a young businessman captivated by a mysterious and beautiful woman as he travels the world. Filmed entirely on location at the Club earlier this year, it sets out to inspire the viewer to follow their desires, to experience new fo...ods in new settings, to "explore the other side...and rest your soul with me". Bringing together farriers, educators and suppliers from Australia and overseas, to share knowledge, gain experience and help improve business management throughout the farriery industry. ... https://www.facebook.com/AFC2018/ For those that do not know what a farrier is: A farrier is a specialist in equine hoof care, including the trimming and balancing of horses hooves and the placing of shoes on their hooves, if necessary. Logo rationale: Hoof Instantly understood by farriers as the underside of a hoof. Circle The Aboriginal symbol for a campfire or meeting place uses a circle, and a dot on a map signifies a place, town or city. Heart Farriers are passionate about what they do and the welfare of horses. They put their heart (and sole) into their work. The conference aims to breathe new life into the industry, to be the heartbeat of the farrier community. Of course, the heart in the symbol also mimics the frog of the hoof an important part of the horses circulatory system. Valley The subtle hint of a valley between mountains references the Macdonald Valley and Wisemans Ferry, the site of the first conference.
