25.01.2022 Last weeks project, we had to replace the decking and handrail for this client, the client has chosen to go with 90mm Merbau, treated pine posts and handrail, and black powder coated balustrade.#decks#outdoorliving#coastaldecksandpergolas

25.01.2022 We are back into it for 2020 and we are super excited about the year ahead, to kick start us off we have the pleasure of replacing the roofing on this gorgeous property.. This particular one was put through the clients insurance due to hail damage they had sustained.

25.01.2022 Another Modwood deck, this is one of my favourite colours - Silver Gum, blends so nicely with the environment

24.01.2022 When you have a deck always make sure you use the correct oil, it has to be a compatible product used previously or the products may react. Unfortunately this deck is only 2 years old and was in bad shape watch this video. See comments for before photos

24.01.2022 140mm wide Modwood composite decking with concealed fastenings on steel floor frame. Powder coated metal balustrade, colour - Monument with matching side gates for the owners new puppy.

23.01.2022 Just a small job this week, replacing joists, replaced and dressed up the handrail and love how the screening looks under the verandah, we often do these little jobs in between larger projects

22.01.2022 Thankyou Lorraine and Graham it was a pleasure completing your project

21.01.2022 The pile of wood turned into a gable roof pergola and looks very nice, great area under cover by the pool that will work well for the owners, painting is being completed by the owners with this one

20.01.2022 This is what happens when steel support posts are buried or vegetation allowed to grow around them. They must be kept clear.

19.01.2022 Our pile of wood arrived ... stay tuned to see what Adam and Jesse turn it into

18.01.2022 What a great outdoor area this space is, we have used Spotted gum and a new pergola to compliment. When building make sure you use lic trades people, who are up to date with all the new Australian standards and Bush Fire Attack Levels, and have necessary H.O.W insurances.#outdoorliving#stratco#coastaldeckandpergolas#decking#decksandpergolas#decks#pergolas

18.01.2022 Coastal decks and pergolas are the accredited and recommended Modwood installers, we highly recommend using a composite decking as it saves our trees, and is maintenance free, Modwood is made using recycled materials and comes with a ten year guarantee, is a Australian owned company, Modwood also has decking rated to a B.A.L 40(Bushfire Attack Level), so if you are in a BAL greater than 29 you are able to use this product, they also provide a marine board suitable for salt water locations, the deck we have built here is using the Modwood Jarrah decking, complimented with Modwood Jarrah screening and a gable roof pergola. The gable roof pergola was cut and built on site and the owners had us paint as well.

15.01.2022 Another beautiful job and a very happy client, just love how this 137mm Sahara Modwood looks around the pool matching nicely with the travertine tiles.

15.01.2022 This weeks project was to replace old and storm damaged colour bond roofing, we also installed new guttering and down pipes. The owners had several leaks causing internal damage which should now be resolved.

15.01.2022 Have a look at how great this project came up, we had to completely demolish the original deck, and remove the middle brick pier, we had a steel beam specially fabricated so the need for the middle brick pier was no longer needed, have attached photos of the beam being put into position with a crane and then the new steel posts being grouted, the client will be painting this beam and the posts so it blends in nicely with their new deck. The client chose Merbau decking and to compliment their new deck they chose glass balustrade.

15.01.2022 Love the Modwood, low maintenance and no oiling :)

14.01.2022 Completed construction of this beautiful deck today. Duragal engineered steel floor frame to comply with B.A.L (Bushfire Attack Level) Clients chose 138mm Spotted gum Flame Shield Modwood Composite decking in the colour Silver Gum. Did you know Modwood Flame shield is rated to a BAL40, the only composite decking that is rated to a B.A.L 40 and an Australian product.#modwood #compositedecking#coastaldecksandpergolas#outdoorliving

14.01.2022 Leaves driving you nuts falling on your car, we can build a custom carport #coastaldecksandpergolas #carport #custom #colourbond

12.01.2022 Dont you just love Modwood Composite Decking, just love this look with the secret fastening system #modwood #recycle #environmentallyfriendly #outdoorlivingspecialists

12.01.2022 Finished video of the gable roof pergola and it looks great Owners are impressed and very happy with the outcome, - Exceeded their expectations Weve been told that many times over numerous years, and we still love hearing it

12.01.2022 How great does this deck look, using the Modwood once again in Sahara, Modwood is great around pool areas as you dont get the tenon leaching, boards splintering and bowing out of shape, if you would like a brochure just email us and Ill send a brochure out to you [email protected]

11.01.2022 Hail damaged roof replacement to finish the week

10.01.2022 The things you find when you are demolishing a deck, the client paid to have extra supports put under their deck to support a spa, and the pictures are what they paid for, floor frame sitting straight onto the dirt not in concrete footings. When getting work done, its advisable to use a qualified builder even better one that specialises in this type of work, dont use a handyman, if anything were to go wrong you would not be able to claim through department of fair trading. ... When selecting the appropriate tradesmen for your next project its advisable to do a licence check https://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/search https://www.onegov.nsw.gov.au/publicregister/

08.01.2022 Love Modwood decking, zero Mainteance and environmentally friendly #Modwood #modwooddecking #modwoodaustralia #decks #outdoorliving #coastaldeckdanfpergolas

08.01.2022 Love this Spotted gum deck plus the Aluminium skillion roof, with Summer approaching quickly, it will make sitting out on the deck a lot more enjoyable. For the handrail we have installed the vertical aluminium balustrade, not only does it look great but is also safer around small children and pets. Due to this project being in a Bushfire Attack Level area we had to build to compliance, we used the Durgal flooring system and hardwood decking, hardwood is only able to be used up to a B.A.L 29, anything higher than a 29 you have to used a approved product, for those in a BAL higher than a 29 you are able to use Modwood Composite Decking which is rated to a BAL 40, anything above 40 which is FZ has to be built with non combustible products.

08.01.2022 Fabulous view from the office at the current project.

07.01.2022 This will be a great area when its finished :)

07.01.2022 We’ve been doing a lot of these lately - replacing rotted timber support posts and rusted post supports. These ones are supporting the house roof with heavy concrete roof tiles, new footings were needed for adequate load bearing. Check your posts !

05.01.2022 Coastal Decks and Pergolas wishes all our family, customers and friends a fantastic 2020 Were back from our Xmas break and have numerous projects to attend. 04.01.2022 Current project - 6m x 4m gable roof pergola from the stratco outback range, all powder coated steel in paperbark with cooldeck insulated roofing. A great addition to this home.

01.01.2022 Gorgeous Merbau deck, I love how the boys made matching stepping blocks going up to the deck #decks #outdoorliving #coastaldeckdandpergolas coastaldecksandpergolas.com.au

01.01.2022 Construction of a bug proof enclosed pergola. The old deck wasnt used so we demolished it. Doing our bit for the environment we recycled as many of the timbers we could to construct the new pergola roof frame. Weve installed a ceiling with two feature sky lights, the entire area is enclosed with black flyscreen and black balustrade for handrail safety. The owners have been involved with the project and have done a fantastic job of painting. The solid Blackbutt hardwood servery to kitchen window is a nice touch for entertaining.

01.01.2022 Rained out again ... third Tuesday in a row
