24.01.2022 Attention All: Breakers on Hiatus in 2018 Fellow Breakers - It is with great sadness that I publish this post to inform all of you that Coastal Breakers have had to make the difficult decision of withdrawing our team from the GAA football competition in 2018. Despite successful recruitment and the addition of new faces to our team this year, the team is still lacking a strong backbone of full-time players to support the Breakers through-out the 2018 season. ... Given this, the Club will officially go on hiatus for the 2018 season. All club assets will be frozen and the situation reviewed for a possible return in the 2019 season. However, to celebrate our team and all of the legends who have walked in Breakers blue over the years, we will be gearing up for one last bloody hoorah at the 7-a-side pre-season comp next Saturday (21 April)! We are aiming to make this one big celebration and tribute to the Breakers legacy over the years, and so we invite all playersold and newto don a jersey and lace up for one final kick around next week before we send the Club to the Bahamans in 2018. It dont matter if you playing full-day, part-day, or just drinking on the sidelineswe wish to go out in true Breakers style next week! and really give the comp a good shake-up and serve of what the Breakers is all about before we step-away. All comp info will be circulated through the Breakers Facebook Event, but for anybody receiving this via email who is not across FB, then please text or PM me (Valva) if you are keen to play and I will ensure you are given the details and registered for the day. The comp runs from 9am -4.30pm at Tom Bateman Reserve. We hope that we can have as many of you as possible join us for one final kick-around and to pay homage to a mighty club that has always ran with a mighty mighty heart From the bottom of my own heart, thank you to everyone for everything that you beautiful humans have brought to the Breakers over the years. AGM 5pm - 6.30pm (All welcome) Pressos from 6.30pm Light food provided Tix $35 and $20 for non-players Reminder to please transfer your $$ to the Breakers account by Friday and to RSVP your attendance directly to the lovely Debbie Strachan if you have not done so already. 18.01.2022 Pre season training is upon us! Don't stress if you're worried about fitness levels or experience... we encourage everyone to go at a pace that works best for you. Wear comfortable workout gear and also some trackies and a jumper to pull over your gear if you get cold and a bottle of water. Footy boots are recommended (no metal studs).... 07.01.2022 The Australasian State League Finals are on this weekend and all WA teams have made their way into the finals! Saturday Matches: Today the WA Minors are playing in the final at 3.00pm against Victoria. This should be a great game and a good chance to check out the future stars of the game.... Sunday Matches: WA Mens final at 11.00am. This game will be followed by the arrival of the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins at 12.30pm. The WA Ladies final will follow the mens game, commencing at 1pm, with the Hurling final to be played afterwards. It would be great to have as many friendly faces down at Tom Bateman to cheer on our WA teams, and to support all of the great work that the GAAWA has put into hosting a fantastic 2017 games campaign in Perth Hope to see some Breakers there
