21.01.2022 Theres a fabulous new (ish) Italian restaurant at Galleria Ettalong Beach where the crunchy-soft sourdough is served with smoked butter, the kingfish is dressed with zesty orange, fennel and fingerlime and the squid ink pasta with crab bisque is so scrumptious youll want to leave a few scraps of sourdough to mop up every last speck! For a smokin dining experience, check out Osteria il Coccia pronto!

17.01.2022 As we all slow down and catch our breath at this crazy time, its a good time to make that a breath of fresh air. Girrakool loop track, Kariong This short and easy 2km walking track starts and finishes at the Girakool picnic area and is a great way to work up an appetite b...Continue reading

17.01.2022 One thing all this COVID craziness has hammered home is how much we take for granted when its always there. Going to the movies is one of lifes simple pleasures but with the introduction of giant home TVs, streaming services and then COVID, the silver screen lost a bit of its appeal. We recently checked out the Coasts first Gold Class cinema at Westfield Tuggerah and were reminded how nice it is to go to the movies. The Gold experience comes complete with its own glamorou...s bar where you can sip an espresso martini perched on a velvet sofa before catching a flick with a side of sliders (or nachos, or a cheese plate, or Lindt fondue...) - just leave room for dessert (the Arnotts sundaes are next level especially if youre a fan of Mint Slices and Tim Tams!). It really is the ultimate date night! To help Coasties reignite their love of cinema, Event Cinema Tuggerah is offering half price tickets this month, including Gold Class (you just have to become a member). And if you have any worries about COVID, keep in mind the cinemas are practising social distancing and only half filling each session, which also means its possible to hire a Gold Class cinema exclusively for 20 of your closest pals!

17.01.2022 First it was the fires, then the storms and now a global pandemic is wreaking havoc on all our lives and livelihoods. It has been a tough few months and there are more trying times ahead. But Coasties are an enterprising and resilient bunch and were already seeing how locals and local businesses are adapting and evolving to stay afloat during these unprecedented times. Cafes are still open and keeping the all-important coffee flowing (just maybe not in keep cups for the mome...nt) and restaurants are removing tables, using heightened hygiene and offering more takeaway or delivery options like Osteria il Coccia and The Lucky Bee Hardys Bay. David, who has lived on the Coast for 30 years and runs In Tune Guitar School at Gosford, has already had a hard knock but hes trying to make the best of a bad situation by offering to do your grocery shopping for you. Supermarkets have become a war zone complete with toilet paper troops and hes willing to go into battle for you and deliver the goods to your front door for a small fee. All the details are here: https://martucc3.wixsite.com/mysite-1 If youre open for business, having to change up your business to survive, starting a whole new business that caters to what the community needs or can just help in some way or need some help, let us know at [email protected], and well help get the word out. Lets work together to help each other through these crazy, crazy times!

12.01.2022 Lots of Coastie businesses are being affected by the fires and if youre looking for a way to support them, why not add Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park to your list for something to do these holidays?
