10.01.2022 W e A r e O n e! Like many people are experiencing, it is a bit of a funny time to have a birthday. But we thought it was important to mark our first year of bringing Coworking to Coolum, because we have had a brilliant first year and we couldn’t let that go past without acknowledging the people who have been along for the ride! Our purpose in creating Coastal Coworking was always to build a like-minded community here in Coolum. Bringing together professional people who... had chosen not to drive the Bruce every day or spend half their week in Sydney, who were living their best life here on the Sunshine Coast, while still thriving in their career or business. And the community has absolutely been the heart of the space. We have all enjoyed the chats and the banter, having a buddy to walk to get coffee with, our social events, lunch conversations and the making of real friendships. It's these things which really made it special for us and hope that it has for others too. Getting through the first year of business is never easy, so we just wanted to say thank you to some of our community members who have helped bring the all-important buzzy culture. 04.01.2022 Work place vs home I’m all about having work/business at home, because it usually means geographical freedom aka... ... Being able to go anywhere when you want and take your work with you (I think that’s pretty darn cool ) But... In my time as running and managing two online businesses I found that I struggled to turn off. When I worked from home, home no longer became home I found myself checking ads, looking at my socials, scanning email and member managing at 8pm, despite having already worked 10+ hours. A desk/office space has literally turned my work life balance around.
