11.01.2022 w a t e r p l a n t s Easily one of my fave plants to grow in water - Monstera deliciosa I have so many water plants growing in my own home, it's definitely an obsession. Plus it keeps my 18 month old from digging the soil out of pots Serioisly though, the benefits of hydro plants are endless, and here are my faves:... No need to worry about when to water your plants...like ever again the presence of those irritating soil dwelling pests like midgies and fungus gnats are virtually eliminated Care is as easy as changing the water every 1 to 2 weeks and adding some liquid fertiliser or plant tonic each month or so. This growing method is super simple, and perfect for everyone, whether you're a plant newbie or pro Seeing those stunning roots through the water makes such a striking feature, which we miss out on with soil grown plants. Do you have any questions about growing plants in water? Let me know in the comments Happy Monday plant tribe PS this is one of my fave photos from our shoot with DARK BLAKC

06.01.2022 g e m want to know the real MVP of the indoor plant scene? It's gotta be this tough guy - the Zanzibar Gem or ZZ Plant The Zanzibar Gem is our indoor plant equivalent of Sly Stallone. He's got that never say die kinda attitude, and takes pretty much whatever you throw at him. Seriously perfect for those who tend to forget about watering, or perhaps seem to struggle keeping their green friends alive ... CARE Bright, indirect light will have your ZZ thriving. It will tolerate lower light, however growth will be slow and the stems will become lanky. Roots grow from potato-like tubers which rot when watered too much. Allow the soil to thoroughly dry, then give a thorough drink and leave him be. Ours are watered maybe every few weeks in this spring weather. This is one of the rare indoor plants that actually thrives on a bit of neglect. Don't fuss over it, and you'll have a gorgeous friend for life! Do you know someone who needs this guy in there plant collection? Give them a tag below!
