10.01.2022 Our ocean’s critically endangered Southern Right Whales are on their way to rest and breed in Victorian waters. It’s magical to see whales migrating and breedin...g, but remember to keep your distance if you're out in a boat so that we can share the ocean responsibly with marine life. To make sure these gentle giants have a safe and comfortable journey, keep whale safety in mind when out in the water in a boat or jetski. Minimum approach distances are in place for vessels being operated around whales. These rules are in place to protect whales and make sure your time on the water is safe, too.
