24.01.2022 Let’s lighten the mood a bit, shall we? I reckon that this is what’s really going on behind closed doors and what we are being shown on the news is just a Muppet Show. The cat is the best, by the way.

21.01.2022 On Thursday, the first day of full lockdown in SA we had the beach to ourselves. Everyone was scared of the virus and obeyed the rules. Today, just two days later, the beach was full of people no longer in fear of getting sick. Not a single mask in sight, NOT EVEN ONE! On Thu I was labelled selfish and stupid, just to mention a few, today people smiled at me, were happy to have a chat and even patted the dog I was with. On Thu the guy driving past stopped to remind me I was...n’t allowed to walk dogs on my own while he was on the way to the shop to be among people, without a mask on. Today nobody was aggressively telling anybody off for anything. On Thu I had the police on my doorstep warning me I was risking a fine if I walked dogs at the local park (but not if I walked with them to Dan Murphy’s). Today there was no police car in sight anywhere I went. So what has changed in just 2 days? Well, practically nothing. We breathe the same air and walk on the same sand. Except, on Thursday someone told us You can’t and today they are saying You can. And that changed everything.

09.01.2022 I’ve got no intentions to turn this page into a political statement of any kind. Ideally I would only want to talk about happy pets. However since I was so severely misunderstood and heavily criticised by so many, please be aware that I am not the only one questioning the narrative. I just didn’t see any sense in the fact that I could walk with the dogs to the shop full of people, but I couldn’t take them to the beach or park. And the picture is much, much bigger than that. ...I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that the couple, whom I’m supposed to be assisting at their wedding this weekend, won’t be put through the pain, stress and confusion that many couples were put through last week when they had to cancel their big days at the very last minute. Months of planning and excitement ruined. For nothing. Oh, one more thing, I don’t believe in the pizza boy story. Just for the record.

04.01.2022 Bonnie & Daniel couldn’t have asked for a better day for their wedding yesterday. Everything was just perfect and gorgeous Bailey made them very proud. I was so lucky to be a part of it. Thank you and congratulations!

03.01.2022 ***UPDATE*** The police are already aware of this post and have spoken to me multiple times. Please stop reporting it to them. You are unnecessarily adding to their workload. Thank you. ***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***... In light of the latest Covid restrictions imposed on us in SA I just want to let everyone know that I am NOT suspending my services. I am obviously going to lose all boarding and pet sitting bookings because nobody is going to be travelling anywhere. However, I am going to continue providing my dog walking services if my clients would like me to continue with them. I care about the wellbeing of pets and I’m of an opinion that confining them at home for days is simply cruel. Most of my clients are unable to exercise their dogs themselves for various reasons, often health related, that’s why they hired me and I am not going to fail them now. In my view exercising dogs is as important as treating them for diseases or feeding them so if vet clinics and pet shops are essential, my services are essential too. After all I’m out in the open, not sharing confined space with other people. If anyone disagrees, I am happy to forward my mortgage, bills and other expenses to them. If health experts want to explain to me and my clients how to keep dogs, especially larger breeds, calm at home for a prolonged period of time without driving their owners and the whole neighbourhood absolutely mad, I am open to their suggestions. If you see me out there at the local beaches or parks and are afraid that you may catch a phantom virus from me, please keep the distance. I am not going to wear a mask either. I have the right to breathe freely, especially when my only company is a dog. Based on the evidence I have found, masks are useless anyway. If people choose to save their lives by hiding at home that’s their choice. I am choosing to save mine by living it. Knowing how long Andrews kept people in lockdown in Victoria I’m under no illusion that the restrictions will be lifted in just 6 days. It miraculously ended there when people started opening their businesses against the rules. Interesting, isn’t it? I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’m just a logical thinker.
