17.01.2022 We are looking forward to seeing Mick back in Port Macquarie and attending this great fundraising event on 12th October 2019 at Settlers Inn.

16.01.2022 Tax time is here and we are making getting your tax done easier than ever with extended opening hours for the tax season! Our new opening hours are; 7am - 7pm by appointment Monday - Friday. Saturdays by appointment ... Call our office on 02 65 843 911 to book your appointment. A friendly reminder that last year we re-branded to Coastal Taxation & Accounting (previously known as PB Taxation & Accounting) As a tax agent we are able to access your Payment Summary or Income Statement through the ATO tax agent portal so if you prefer to not have a MyGov account to access this information you don't have to.

16.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our office will reopen Monday 14th January 2019.

14.01.2022 During these uncertain times for employers and employees, the Treasury department has released a $130 billion JobKeeper payment to help keep more Australians in jobs and support businesses affected by the significant economic impact caused by the Coronavirus. The staff at Coastal Taxation & Accounting are still here to assist our clients via phone or email. If you would like a copy of the JobKeeper fact sheets for either employers or employees, have any queries or need assistance in applying for a JobKeeper payment, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 02 65 843 911 or [email protected] https://treasury.gov.au/coronavirus/jobkeeper

10.01.2022 Come in and see our team at 31 Ackroyd Street, Port Macquarie.

05.01.2022 Don't be surprised if you don't receive a payment summary this end of financial year from your employer as the ATO are changing things and you may now be issued an income statement. Don't worry if you don't receive one because as your tax agent we will be able to access a copy come tax time for your tax return.

02.01.2022 Thinking of purchasing assets for your business? If you wish to discuss this further with Nick please call our office on 02 65843 911 to book an appointment. The instant asset write-off threshold has been increased to $30,000 and extended to 30 June 2020.... If you purchase an asset (new or second hand) costing less than $30,000 and it is used or installed ready for use from 7:30pm AEDT on 2 April 2019, you can claim a deduction for the business portion. Different thresholds apply for assets purchased before that date: from 29 January 2019 until before 7.30pm AEDT on 2 April 2019, the threshold is $25,000 before 29 January 2019, the threshold is $20,000. You may purchase and claim a deduction for multiple assets provided each asset is under the relevant threshold. Assets that cost $30,000 each or more can't be immediately deducted. You can continue to deduct them over time using the small business pool. The instant asset write-off has also been expanded to include businesses with a turnover from $10 million to less than $50 million. Remember, registered tax agents can help you with your tax.
