Shipped by the Dutch to Indonesia before the war filled with wine & oil, these historic bottles have survived voyages across the oceans and have been one of our best selling finds. 15.01.2022 Old ex-working wooden fishing floats. These Japanese floats have kanji - markings engraved usually with the fishermans name. Beautifully rustic & weathered from age and years in the ocean, these are perfect to display in a vignette or a collection on their own. Cleverly crafted by re purposing old metal drums each one has a wonderful texture and patina, and will also rust beautifully if left exposed to the elements. 11.01.2022 Happy Sunday! Here are a few snippets from our store this week. We've finally listed on our website all our finds from a Japaenese fishing village - all the old glass floats & many sourced from a local collector. This weekend I've been out on the road and will be bringing back a trailer load of wares from an old sheep station including an amazing collection of 100-year old books. This week we will have a few beautiful furniture pieces from France and I'll be finishing up my Indonesian virtual shopping trip. There will be some more amazing pieces arriving from there in early November & I can't wait to show you.

04.01.2022 We have 2 amazing original dive helmets made by TOA, Japan. They started producing these incredible helmets in 1909. Mostly used in the pearling & fishing industry, we often have ex-naval divers popping in store & telling us their amazing memories of training with these on. 03.01.2022 The @balistreetmums_project is a project we support & are very passionate about. Helping mums & kids off the streets in Bali so they no longer have to beg & can live in a safe house away from predators. It is also an opportunity for the mums to learn skills & earn an income. They make these fantastic Captain Morgan Glasses from recycled rum bottles collected from restaurants& bars around Bali. These are perfect for the nautical inspired bar or beach shack.
