Based in Lisarow, Little Masterpieces is a Council approved after school home based art studio where kids can learn how to paint, draw, create and explore the visual arts and produce amazing artworks throughout the term. Classes run to public school terms Monday to Friday with age specific days during the week. Lessons are two hours in duration with a total of six per class so each student gains the maximum benefit of learning new skills and techniques in a small, quiet and calm environment. 11.01.2022 Central Coast Health wants you to GET CREATIVE Pick up your camera, paints or pencils and get creative for World Breastfeeding Week on 1 to 7 August.... Our Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding Reference Group have recently launched a community art competition to encourage creativity at home around the 2020 World Breastfeeding Week theme "Breastfeeding for a healthier planet." You can submit a photograph, painting or drawing and your artwork could show the health benefits or challenges of breastfeeding in the context of the environment. Finalists will have their artwork on virtual display during World Breastfeeding Week, and winning entries will be displayed in local health services for community members to appreciate. Book Illustration: Developing a Character Jill Carter Hansen... 10am - 4pm $150 / $140 Gallery members (lunch provided) Limited numbers Learn how to create and alter an animal or human to express unique characteristics and movement from photographic reference. This course will be useful for illustrators and authors who would either like to develop their own style for their characters, or be better prepared to brief an illustrator with specific stylistic qualities. During the class, students will develop their character or scene through pencil sketches. A range of examples and discussion of media choices will be provided to further determine a unique stylistic approach for individual projects. Students are to bring an A4 cartridge sketch pad or book, 2B & 6B pencils, eraser, sharpener, visual photographic reference material, and script for a character or scene they would like to develop further.
