You may see our newly overhauled vessel CG22 out on the water on the weekend, it will be going through sea trials on its new Furuno electronics for the next week. The ridge will move off the southern coast overnight and early on Saturday as a trough moves thr...ough southeast inland. A weak southerly wind change may move through southern waters on Sunday as a new high moves into the Tasman Sea. Forecast for Friday until midnight Winds: Northerly 20 to 25 knots. 18.01.2022 Colregs Law 15 says "when two power-driven vessels are crossing so as to involve risk of collision, the vessel which has the other on her own starboard side shall keep out of the way and shall, if the circumstances of the case admit, avoid crossing ahead of the other vessel. But we're not sure how that applies with a Give Way sign involved.

13.01.2022 Congratulations go to South Queensland Squadron Commodore Allan Tennent OAM who received his National Medal 2nd Clasp recognising 35 years service. Congratulations also go to Daniel Hunt and David Sheehan who were awarded their National Medals recognising 15 years service. Coast Guard are proud to recognise these three individuals for their diligent service to the community.

10.01.2022 Hey Guys, Here is a sneak peak at some of our new rescue capabilities we have after refitting our rescue vessel CG22 with some awesome new Furuno Australia electronics! Now with the power of the cloud our boat can receive search patterns and tasks directly to her onboard computers, with the crews also being able to make search patterns on the fly.... Stay tuned for a big unveil coming soon.

08.01.2022 Brisbane Coaat Guard are honoured to be winners of the "Bonner's Local Legends" award, through our local Federal MP Ross Vasta. Members of Coast Guard attended a BBQ tonight in which awards were handed out. Congratulations to all the worthy winners. We were humbled to hear the stories of those nominated and the great community work that they do.

D Roster Duty Officer Christian Hager had the privilege of handing over their eagles to the three new full members.
