SAFE BOATING Coast Guard Yeppoon (QF11) periodically conduct free Safe Boating courses. QF11 is located at Rosslyn Bay Harbour. The next free Safe Boating courses will be held on 6 February 2021 between 8.30 am to 11.00 am. Anyone new to the Capricorn Coast should register to attend. In addition, new boat owners should also register to attend. The morning is a relaxing event with ample time for questions and answers. There is no examination. 17.01.2022 CENTRAL QUEENSLAND SQUADRON MEDIA RELEASE 18 January 2021 For Immediate Release Coast Guard Volunteers... masters of all situations Coast Guard Yeppoon (QF11) went to the assistance of a jet ski owner who struck trouble on Sunday, 17 January 2021. The driver got into trouble that resulted in him being severely injured. Queensland Ambulance Service attended the scene and administered initial first aid. The nature of the injuries required the person to be transported to Rockhampton Hospital. The outcome was a broken fibular in two places. Surgery will be needed to repair the breaks. The owner of the jet ski has sent a thankyou message to QF11. QF11 wishes the person a speedy and full recovery from the injuries.
