21.01.2022 Thanks NBN for running this story on our little organisation!! 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone to say the least. While we could finger point, and play the blame game, all that does is distract people from getting involved and making change themselves. ... From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank every individual, every community, every business that has helped us accomplish so much this year, in an effort to assist all those families and individuals that are falling through the cracks. Kindness costs nothing, and so long as it does, so does the tens of thousands of items of clothing, the thousands of meals, the care packs, the hampers, everything we have distributed to those in need....all for free. Honestly, cuts to payments, and further covid restrictions will kick off 2021, but that's a challenge, we are well equipped to deal with. We love you all, and thank you so much for caring. I didn't know which photo of thier Head Chef I liked best....sorry Sid, I posted both!! Fresh healthy stir fry with Seven different vegetables from Farm Fresh 2U, Chicken from Singo's Wholesale Meats, and rice and sauces from Faith In Action Ministries Inc. FIAM Care Arm Trust that will immediately go out to our Neighbourhood Centres, and outreach se...rvices....... Actually....speaking of Neighbourhood Centres...we are very pleased to announce we will also be servicing a new community as of........NOW!!!!!!!! Jackie from The Entrance Community Hub will now also stock meals for those in need alongside San Remo Neighbourhood Centre Wyong Neighbourhood Centre Inc. Toukley Neighbourhood Centre Inc and Southlake's Incorporated. 12.01.2022 Back on the street in Gosford tonight. While the night was tinged with sadness over the loss of Rick, it seems the whole community came down tonight as a mark of respect, to share memories, get some support and honour the man. One of the biggest turnouts we've had, and some huge smiles with nice, fresh clean clothes to go home with, full stomachs, and fresh fruit and snack packs to take home. This one was for you Rick. ... 07.01.2022 Massive thankyou to Apricot Cafe and The Olive Tree Brasserie. These beautiful people constantly support us and ask for nothing in return, supplying EVERYTHING themselves alot of the time, and supporting our work!! Today we picked up 67 meals from The Olive Tree, despite it not even being their week!!!! ... We also picked up 45, individually packed, slices to hand out to those in need at the Kibble Park outreach tonight!!!! Do yourself a favour....support local business!! Go and book a feed for the family, or rather than buy Xmas cakes, slices etc from a supermarket, place an order with Apricot Cafe!! Thanks so much guys!!!!!!! 06.01.2022 **** URGENT **** We have a lady in a domestic violence situation that needs help with an immediate removal tomorrow from 9.30 am. She is located in the Sydney area. If anyone has access to a small truck, or ute and trailer, and a few friends and is able to assist with a lightning quick load and leave from Sydney to the Central Coast please message the page immediately.... **post edit 7.30 pm. Without giving anything away.....the issue is well on its way to being resolved. Thank you everyone for your kind offers of assistance. **
06.01.2022 Yesterday one of everyone's favourite regulars at the Kibble Park outreach service passed away. Rick was a beautiful human, that everyone looked forward to seeing. Despite the many health issues he suffered, Rick used to walk himself to the service every week with only a walker, (until he was finally upgraded to a motorised wheelchair after one to many falls) and ALWAYS had a new joke, or a cheeky, borderline offensive, little niggle to keep us on our toes. ... Rick was a friend to all, and always looked out for everyone, often letting us know if someone was in need of something. He will be sorely missed by all. R.I.P Rick. We love ya mate. Obviously, this time of year is extremely difficult, and many people are struggling to make it through till they get their first payment or pay check.... So we figured we'd make tomorrow a little special, and we have cracked out our best goods, donated by you beautiful people!!! BRAND NEW CLOTHING!!!!!!! Ill say it again....BRAND NEW CLOTHING!!!! FOOD HAMPERS!!!! FRESH, SANITISED PILLOWS AND BEDDING!!!!!! CARE ...PACKS!!!! And honestly, some of the beautiful messages you guys have put in these donations, is tear jerking!!! 01.01.2022 Such a fantastic first hit out for our first outreach service of the year!! Thankyou to our number one supporters Russel and Cathy from Farm Fresh 2U, who rang us yesterday, and made sure we were fully stocked....and we mean fully stocked!!! Boxes and boxes of stone fruit, melons, pineapples, apples you name it!!! And thankyou so much Emili and family who donated a huge box of plums from the hills of Bilpin!!! Shoutout to the Knights M.C Australia Inc. who donated toiletry ...boxes and sleeping bags, one of which went immediately to a young guy who turned up with everything he owns in a trolley, and obviously thank you to Soul Soup, Orange Sky Australia and Pass it on Clothing & Co for providing hot meals, a laundry service, and a space to assist those in need from!!! Shoutout to our volunteers for coming on down, and young Ryder who was dying to help!! Thank you as always for your support everyone.
