04.01.2022 It is with heavy hearts that we advise the need to postpone our season-opening event, Opera Afloat at Saddles at Mount White, scheduled for 28 February 2021. The COVID situation is still just too volatile to risk the health of our audience, performers, volunteers and Saddles staff by hosting an event with several hundred people. Aren’t we all heartily sick of plans not going to well plan! It’s frustrating we get it. Our performers just want to perform for you, and Opera... Afloat was shaping up to be a unique and exciting event in the stunning surrounds of @Saddles at Mount White. With your permission, we will keep your details so that you will be the first to know when we confirm a new date for Opera Afloat hopefully later in the year. Right now we are planning a season of smaller, COVID-safe events across the year to provide a taste of what we do. And of course, after the success of last year’s ANZAC Day performance, we are hoping to repeat and build on this important commemorative event. We’ll keep you informed. I want to thank you for your understanding and continued support of Coast Opera Australia. We are a start-up performing arts company with big goals. Our vision is to showcase a professional level of opera and musical events on the Coast, and we know that there is already strong interest and a growing following. Again, thank you sincerely for your interest and support. The decision to postpone was not taken lightly and will leave a bit of a gap as we close out Summer of 2021but we’ll be back!
