25.01.2022 Here is a memory to celebrate the 2000 Olympics... Previous shop owner Kerry Anderson and current owner Margaret Beardslee on site at the 25km waterstop for the Marathon in Bathurst St. Our Coastie Team manned this stop for theTrial, Mens and Womens Olympics and the Paralympic Marathons. The Mens Marathon was a huge challenge with a massive wind tunnel down the street ... everything was blowing away!! After a number of attempts to secure the tables and place special water...bottles out, we ended up getting permission to call spectators into the course to stand on each end of each table legs to keep them from flying away!! This year there will be individuals and Teams of 2. Please arrive early to assist with Covid safe entry. You will be issued an electronic tag and race number. Please sanitise on entry. Do not attend if you are unwell or have any Covid symptoms, or have visited any Covid hotspot in the last 14days. We will be using the timing mats from Central Coast Cross Country to assist in lap scoring but will still need our usual team of lap scorers.. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. To comply with Covid restrictions there will not be a group presentation, rather, winners will receive recognition awards as they finish....
