20.01.2022 Did you know the library is OPEN again?! We have reduced opening hours during the week to allow us to thoroughly clean and sanitise the library for our customers. We have also installed a hand sanitising station that we ask all customers to use before entering the library. Don't be put off by the sneeze guards at the front desk - we are here to help you! We are open Monday - Friday 9am till 2pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm
20.01.2022 The library January school holiday activities are now finalised! There will be fun & creative craft sessions with hama beads, sand art, fabric paint and much more. Sessions will be held Wednesday 27th January, Thursday 28th Janury, and Friday 29th January. Craft sessions: 10:30-noon for 5-7 year olds (Sand art, Crazy rock creatures, Hama beads fun); and 2:00-3:30 for 8+ year olds (Paint & decorate backpacks, STEAM car construction, Hama beads fun).... Please pay $5.50 per child for each session booked. Feel free to share this information and contact the library on 6836 5845 to reserve places. 12.01.2022 Public Notice: Water outage notification - night works Killard Infrastructure Pty Ltd has been contracted by Cobar Shire Council to construct a replacement wat...er pipeline throughout Cobar town. The scope of work involves investigation and installation of a pipeline in the road/reserve. Cobar Shire Council has granted approval for the attached construction night works between Monday 2nd November to Friday 6th with work hours from 8pm to 5am. This is a vital part of construction which can only be completed on a night to cause less disruption to the town. 11.01.2022 Public Notice: This map highlights the main entrance point and road closures that are in place for the NSW State Funeral Service for Mayor Lilliane Brady OAM, t...omorrow - Friday 19 February 2021. The gates will open to Drummond Park at 10am for everyone to take their seats for the service to begin at 11am. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there is strict seating restrictions. Staff will assist with QR code check-in, screening and seating, directed from the Main Entrance. Please be aware that Harcourt Street through to Linsley Street & Linsley Street through to Marshall Street will be closed from 8am-2pm. Marshall Street, Barrier Highway will be fully close from 12pm-1pm to all traffic. A de-tour will be in place to assist traffic needing to move along the highway. A reminder to bring a hat, wear sunscreen and bring a bottle of water.
