24.01.2022 A service from the Anglican Church of Cobargo, Bermagui and Quaama, NSW Australia
21.01.2022 D.A. Carson says that the number one priority in the church today is to know God. This weekend we gathered at Henckley Farm in Tilba for a prayer retreat. Taking as our theme the verse from Mark 6, "Come away to a quiet place, by yourselves and rest a while". We were the first group to stay at this great new south coast venue.
21.01.2022 An invitation to those of the parish who are available and would like to attend an adult baptism at horseshoe beach in front of the life saving club at 12:00.
21.01.2022 This weekend we kick off our Advent series: those who dream. We will also be hosting a visiting minister from Canberra, so if you have any questions for Scott, be sure to ask them to our guest. As it is the fifth Sunday of the month we will be having only one service in the parish, at 10am at Bermagui. This celebration is brought to us by the team at www.sanctifiedart.org. Here is something from the team to give you a headsup as to what to expect....... In studying this season’s lectionary scriptures, the opening lines from Psalm 126 jumped off the page: When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. What does it look like to live as those who dream? The prophets, the psalmists, John the Baptist, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Simeon, Anna, the shepherds and the Magithey were all dreamers. They received, discovered, and responded to God’s dreams for the world. In Advent, we step into the mystery and awe of God’s dreams and pray they shape our reality. This theme is for the dreamers in all of usthose who dream of a deeper connection with God and those who dream of a better world. It’s for those who dream of comfort and for those who have given up on their dreams. It’s for those whose dreams have been crushed and for those who show us that dreams take time. Join us this Advent as we dream alongside prophets and angels, Mary and the Magi. Join us as we seek and sow God’s dreams for our world.
