19.01.2022 You may have noticed some activity happening at the Cobar Mining Heritage Park. This is due to the commencement of construction of the Cobar Miners Memorial, w...hich is due to begin in the coming weeks! This project is jointly funded by The Commonwealth Government - Building Better Regions Funding stream, NSW State Government - Stronger Country Communities Stream, Cobar Shire Council and the Cobar Community (fundraising efforts that has been lead through the commitment and dedication of Barry Knight - who has instigated this whole project). Please note, that during construction of the Cobar Miners Memorial, the Cobar Mining Heritage Park will be closed. We are excited that local builder Heath Prendergast from As Per Plan Construction will be building this memorial, and look forward to working with him on this project.
