23.01.2022 Local Government Elections Many of our residents have been calling into the Mayor’s Office at Eastgardens to find out about Local Government Elections this year. The State Government has widely advertised the elections being held in September. The City of Botany Bay, however like many other councils that are still waiting for a decision on mergers, will not be going to an election this year. 19.01.2022 Defib Update The four portable defibrillator units for our local sports clubs have now been handed over. Together with hardworking local Federal MP Matt Thistlethwaite the Deputy Mayor has handed over the defibrillator units to Mascot JRLFC, Mascot Kings Football Club; Pagewood Botany Football Club and the Botany Rams JRLFC. Council matched the Federal Government’s grant for these units. Pagewood Botany FC Mascot Kings Football (Soccer) Club Mascot Juniors RLFC The Home Of The Botany Rams!

15.01.2022 Multicultural Spring Fair a hit! The rain cleared in time for a fantastic Multicultural Spring Fair. Thousands turned up to celebrate the cultural diversity of our community. The day brought together the community to enjoy foods from different countries, to see and buy arts and crafts from different culture and to enjoy all the action on the different stages. Thank you to all who turned up to celebrate our wonderful community.

07.01.2022 This week in the Mayoral Column the Deputy Mayor spoke on the portable defibrillators being rolled out to local community sports clubs and Council facilities. You will find information on the annual Photography Competition which is officially launched this week. Council is grateful for the support given by Sydney Airports in this very popular competition.
